My friend was extremely happy to hear Ash's 'real' voice in Pokemon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back & in Pokemon 2000.

Oh, yes. It's quite a relief to go back and hear the voices I'm most familiar with after all the new ones. Heck, even though as far as vocal quality goes the original dub-cast wasn't the best ever, but even after watching a bunch of Japanese episodes I felt happy to hear Ash's Johto voice again, though I don't actually like it all that much.

I was gonna ask if the voice was different. It sounds different. I'm not really fond of it. I'll still watch the show.
