For all you veteran solo travelers out there, what is your favorite activity to do when visiting WDW on your own?

For me its a trip without young kids, so I ride all of the rides that they cant or don't want to go on. After that like both PPs mentioned I enjoy just taking my time and taking it all in. Exploring the nooks of World Showcase slowly is definitely one of my faves.

I love taking all the transportation options.

From POFQ boat to Disney Springs>bus to AK Lodge>bus to DHS>boat to Epcot>Monorail to TranspoHub>monorail to MK>boat to Fort Wilderness>boat to Contemporary>resort monorail to MK >ferry to transpohub. Next solo trip I'll have to figure in the Skyliner.

When visiting WDW, it's definitely enjoying a leisurely stroll through World Showcase with drink(s) in hand. It never gets old. I also enjoy hanging out at the bar at Trader Sam's, which I rarely get to do when visiting with a group. When I am out on the left coast at DLR, I enjoy taking in the sights and sounds on the Mark Twain riverboat, and generally spend most of my time in or around New Orleans Square. I could ride DL's POC 100 times and not get tired of it (it's SO much better than WDW's abbreviated version), and you have HM right next door. Plus, the train station and Cafe Orleans, with all the beignets I care to eat!

Trying to catch the fireworks from a ride/attractions, like MK fireworks from big thunder, DHS fireworks from the skyliner. Also watching the logs come down on splash mountain!

bars / lounges are fun. some of my favorites when i’m solo are trader sam’s near MK, nomad at AK, and jock lindsay at DS. i also enjoyed going to oga’s cantina at HS for the first time last month.

also, tower of terror is my favorite ride. most of the time it’s solo as the people i go with are too afraid.

I like to ride my favorite rides over & over & over. :P I love exploring World Showcase. I take the ferry or a boat to a resort and hang out there for a bit. At Christmas, I'll do resort tours to see the decorations. I also have a white Mickey Vinylmation that I like getting autographs on and I only do that when I'm solo.

I’m not a veteran solo traveler, but my girlfriend usually isn’t ready in time to rope drop, so she meets me at the parks later in the morning. I love just hanging out around Main Street, USA until Let the Magic Begin.

My family doesn’t care for the behind the scenes tours, so I have done those solo. You always meet interesting people, and the cast members are fun to talk to you also.

Riding It's a Small World more than once per trip! :p It's like pulling teeth to get people to ride it even once with me.

This, only mine is the Tiki Room. I just love it, and can watch that show multiple times a day. It’s always stunning to me when people walk out in the middle! And, if I have a dole whip that makes it even better.

While everyone else is running to their favorite rides, I am usually able to take some pics with no one in the shot! My last solo trip (5/2019) I got some incredible shots at EC. BTW this is my first post. So glad I found this board.

Even though we travel as a family (6 adults) I'm not a huge ride person (especially the motion simulator stuff!) So when the family goes on those rides, I wander by myself. Depending upon where we are, I'll do a lot of shopping! But my favorite.. while the family rides Space Mountain, I head for the people mover! I remember the first time I found myself alone, I sat on a bench and waited. Then 💡! why just sit? Now I look forward to my solo time.

You can take a Dole whip into Tiki Birds?! You don’t know how happy that makes me! THANK YOU!

You sure can! I didn't get to do it last time and was bummed out until I remembered I'll get all the Dole Whip I want on the next trip in May (gf will be with me and we are at the Poly again).

I love people watching, chatting with other guests in queues, exploring to take in the details...these are all things I can and always do when gf is with me but it's nice when solo. The only bad thing now is I met so many DVC owners over Vets Day weekend that I'm tempted to buy in!

They used to not allow that at Magic Kingdom, though it was always encouraged at the Disneyland version. They changed it a couple of years ago to allow food, and a Dole Whip is the preferred choice.
