Favorite Snacks??

We usually will just grab something in the park. As it is we carry around water bottles, and our camera. That's enough for me to tote around! Besides I just LOVE some of the snacks I can pick up there! ;)

Are you flying or driving? Just curious because of the water? I can't see us needing 50 bucks worth of groceries to have it delivered.

You can order cases of water at places like costco.com or staples.com and probably have them delivered to your hotel (we did this for our recent trip to WDW.) But for Disneyland trips we usually have a rental car so we run to target and get a case of dasani. So much cheaper than in the parks. Also we stay at the Anaheim Plaza so our room as a fridge for all the water.

We have used Albertsons for delivery and they don't have a minimum order amount. Depending on how much water you need, the $9.95 delivery fee may be worth it. That would be the cost of about 3-4 bottles at the park, so just for water alone, it was worth it for us, even though we did order other items also. :)

Our family takes in trail mix, along with the individual packages of carrots and apples. We too get the Trader Joes leather fruit.

We bring along several cases of water (we usually drive down). I also take my camelback backpack along, fill it as full as possible with ice, add some water, fill it some more with ice, add more water, continue to alternate until full. Then as the ice melts the water is still cold (we can also refill it with the free ice water from some of the restraunts). This also keeps my back cool in the hot summer.

I like to bring cheerios in a baggie, almonds & usually an apple. Otherwise, I buy the veggies, trailmix, or fruit in the park & transfer them into ziptop baggies so they're easy to carry.

You can often get coupons for your 1st vons or albertson's delivery--for no delivery fee! I signed up for vons, filled out my order, and then didn't submit it for a couple weeks, and then got an email offering me free delivery.

I am taking 20+ girl scouts to the parks!
So, I am searching for snack ideas they can bring in with them into the parks.
Ideas I love so far:

Granola Bars
Nuts
GORP (trail mix)
Pretzles
Fruit strips
Gold Fish
water bottles

Lets put our heads together . . .

Now I usually take water and snack at the park.

If I ever do take my own snack It's one of the fruit nut mixes I make acording to what I want to munch.

The usual...Dried cranberries, dried mango, unsweetened flaked coconut, pecans.

dried apricots, almonds and walnuts are good too.

Do cheese sticks stay OK for the day at the park?

Thank you so very much!

I was dazzled by the word SNACK
and now all I can think about is MICKEY BAR :rotfl2:

My mom carries trail mix, but somehow
the m&ms never make it past day one...

I bring a piece of fruit, jerky, crunchie (pretzles, etc)
and water.

A tip for your girl scouts - they can refil a water bottle at one of the filtered water stations.
I will dig the locations out of my notes,
but the one I remember off hand is in the courtyard at Rancho.

The asparagus spears are delish :lovestruc
