Haven’t been to DL in two years which is way too long! Just booked a trip for July and I need to know what are your favorite treats and snacks in the parks these days??? While you’re at it, gimme your favorite meals. Food is a big part of DL for my family and we don’t want to miss out on all the yummy things!

Too many to list lol. Here are the first few that pop into my mind:

Mickey pretzel
Beignets
Rainbow cake at Plaza Inn
70th macaroon/cake at Jolly Holiday

Egg sandwich at Jolly Holiday
Breakfast Chimmichanga in Frontierland
Pym's peanut butter and jelly flavor lab
potstickers from Lucky Fortune Cookery

Always love replying to this question! :P

Our faves:

the classic Churros
the breakfast chimichanga
tigger tail from pooh's corner
boysen apple freeze from maurice's treats
churro toffee from the confectionaries

have not had these yet but I am pretty sure we would also love the garlic cheesy pretzel bread and the cookie croissant from maurice's treats as well.

I always get a Matterhorn Macaroon from Jolly Holdiay - it's a classic. Sometimes they have specialty variants too. There are also, of course, churros - they change them out a lot seasonally, but there are always a ton of good ones!

For meals, my favorite places are Aunt Cass Cafe (formerly Pacific Wharf) because of the sourdough bread - a sandwich or soup in a bread bowl, you can't go wrong here! I also love Award Wieners, and the Bao Buns from Tropical Hideaway. You can't go wrong with a corn dog from the Little Red Wagon or hit Corn Dog Castle at DCA for the cheese stick! Mmmmmm, it's all so good! I think I'm gaining weight just typing this. 😁

Love love love the classics: cotton candy and churros

love the Matterhorn macarons from jolly holiday bakery
They are a must

From the candy palace (or other candy counters): churro toffee and the peanut butter square dessert

Bao buns and dole whip from the tropical hideaway

Any treat from the treat cart at the GCH lobby

Mickey pancakes from red rose taverne

Beignets from the jazz kitchen in downtown Disney

Omg so much more…can’t think. Everything!

Edit to add: everything at the Blue Bayou except the bread

Old school treats that I can’t miss on a visit:
  • Hot fresh popcorn from the hub, with a fountain coke from “Coke corner”
  • Mickey pretzel with plastic dipping cheese
  • Rocky road candy from Candy Palace. Usually found on Thursdays
Newer treats:
Royal Street Veranda is killing it lately with new fun snacks.
  • The chicken Mickey beignet slider is delicious! More than a bite. Saucy so bring napkins
  • Also love the baked cheesy biscuits from this location
  • The lemon raspberry tiramisu from Jolly Holiday is super sweet and refreshing! Perfect for summer. 🍋🌞

There is something special about Disneyland popcorn, that's for sure. I think it's the antique popcorn carts - with over a century of positive energy coursing through them. It makes it extra good!

I just discovered cobb salad at Plaza Inn
A baked potato at Troubador Tavern, an order of Fireflies from Refreshment corner, pork belly skewer from Bengal BBQ and a funnel cake from Stage Door Cafe🤩

I think it’s mostly the ambiance :).

Hate to be a buzzkill, but after this community insisted that In-N-Out and Habit were “way overrated” and “no better than Disney,” I had a double cheeseburger at DCA. It was okay but it was of mediocre quality (frozen hamburger patties, pretty obvious). Nowhere close in quality to the aforementioned. Even the burgers at Knott’s are way better.

Some of you are overdosing on pixie dust ;).

Plus all those hardworking creatures turning the popcorn barrels! That's gotta add some special Disney magic flavor!

But the double cheeseburger with crinkle cut fries at Smokejumpers Grill IS quite tasty, just sayin’!

I think the in park burgers are junk - like even below McDonalds. With that said, the burgers at the hotels are very good. The burger at the Craftsman Bar is spectacular. Full discloser: I normally don't like burgers. YMMV

Thanks everyone for all of the yummy suggestions! I’m definitely looking forward to a corn dog from red wagon which is usually our first meal in the park. Another must have is beignets from Jazz Kitchen. I have a lengthy food list going and can’t wait for our trip!
