Favorite Servers on the Magic

Our favorite server is Deneval. We have cruised 5 times, 3 times on the Magic. Deneval was our server 2 of those times (we requested him the 3rd time, but he was working as head of room service that cruise). He is by far the best server we have had on any ship.

Don't know if it is the same one, but: We had a Deneval from Jamaica as Head Server in September.

We just sailed on the Magic Jan. 18th. Willy and Avatar were great servers that went out of their way to meet our requests and were great with all of the childeren in our group (ages 3 to 8). They were quick to serve the kids on the nights they wanted to go to the kids club, and I am pretty sure they went across the boat to get a croissant. They even brought us shrimp fried rice one night. We had a wonderful time thanks to them.

Two years ago in Palo I had the best server and cannot remember her name. Has anyone been to Palo recently and had a woman server? I would really like to request her if she is indeed still on the Magic. She had been on the ship for years so Im hoping she is still on it!

Many of our favs have been moved to other ships. We'll be cruising before the Meds....can let you know then who might be on board. I'll second the votes for Fitz and Wira as excellent head servers. Cedomir (absolute fav) is on the Fantasy.

We'll be on the first Greece/Turkey in June. If it's not too much trouble, can you find out if Igor J. from Serbia is still on the Magic? I saw people tagging him on the Fantasy so I think he and his wife may have moved to the new ship.

We really liked Tanner (pronounced Tah-ner) and the head server Luis was AWESOME!!!!

We've had Luis before too and he is SO GREAT! We just love him. Even when he's not our H/S, if he knows we're on the ship, he seeks us out to say hello and ask how the family is doing, etc. A true gentleman!

To request a server, do you just call DCL?

Yes, just call DCL and tell them you'd like to add a server request to your reservation. They'll tell you it's only a request and they cannot guarantee you'll get him/her, blah, blah, blah, but 9 times out of 10, if the server that's requested is on the ship, you'll be assigned to them. When you get on board, go to the dining changes location (varies by ship) & confirm your request was granted. If it wasn't and you ask if the server is on the ship, you can ask to be changed to their rotation/station if at all possible. They'll do their best to accommodate you on the spot.

I think it may be AnnMarie? She has been in Palo for a long time. She worked on the Wonder before that (back in 2004)

I agree that head server Luis is fantastic. We have allergies and there wasn't ever a problem. He's terrific.

Not sure where our buddy Igor is now (LOVE him!!!), but last we saw him, he was on the Dream in summer of 2011. He is AWESOME!
