Favorite Resort

I'm torn....I'm definitely torn. I love staying at YC for all the usual reasons, great service, excellent location, etc. But I also love the WL, it just feels soooo good to stay there. I really love that resort. Considering that we usually go the first week in Dec. every year, the WL is certainly the most beautiful of the two.

I have stayed at the Poly, WL, ASMu, WLV, BWV and BCV so far and I guess if I had to pick one it would be BCV with WL/WLV as a close second. The location of each is great for different reasons. With little ones, it's so convenient to be near the MK -- and the theming of WL is just awesome! For adults and older kiddies, you cannot beat the convenience of the Epcot resorts, imo. To me, the BCV is perfect because it's quiet, has the laidback DVC atmosphere and yet has all the amenities of the BC/YC and being near the Boardwalk, Epcot and MGM. Having said all this, I would love to try the AKL at some point, too, especially after hearing all the rave reviews of it on this board!!!

We've stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort, Polynesian, GF and Contemporary. I love the theming and layout of the Caribbean Beach but the Contemporary is my favorite. I love the location and fun atmosphere of this resort.

We have stayed at several onsite hotels and AKL is by far our favorite. Our pictures convinced our whole family to come along when we go in December!!!

Visited them all (except OKW) and stayed at: Contemp, Poly, WL, AKL, CBR, CSR, POFQ, POR, AS-Sp, AS-Mu, AS-Mo. No contest, AKL is our favorite from this group. Between now and early next year, we'll get a chance to stay at BC & GF. It'll be tough for one of them to dethrone AKL as our favorite, though.

Of the hotels we've stayed at(see below), Coronado Springs is our(DW & I) fave. The grounds & the pool are breathtaking! Swan would be 2nd.

I'd have to say Shades of Green for those of us who can qualify. Other than SOG, we love the BoardWalk Villas.

I have stayed at ASMu, GF, BWI, WL, Poly (twice), AKL (twice), and the YC. The GF is my favorite, and the YC is a close second. I just love the super convenient locations of both resorts. I also love the upscale, pampered feeling they both have. I think I slightly prefer the GF because it's more feminine in decor and I really like riding the monorail. The AKL was also really nice and has great theming, but it's a bit too far from the MK and Epcot for me (since I spend most of my time at WDW at those two parks).

For a deluxe, I like the Beach Club. I love the location, and the themeing/decorating. It has sentimental appeal too, because DH and I stayed there on our honeymoon.

For a moderate, I like Coronado Springs or POR Alligator Bayou.

Have stayed at the Poly, AsMu, WL and AKL....

Absolutely no question for us....AKL

The themeing is extraordinary, the CM's the nicest we've found at any resort we've stayed at...the food options (our opinion)..are hard to beat at any of the other resorts.

We never found the AKL to be "out of the way" and the transportation no problem at all.

Hoping to plan a return trip over the next year....not sure if we could return without going "home" to AKL

Polynesian and Beach Club are equally my favorite!!!!

Poly for it's theming, relaxed feeling, friendly CM's, distance to MK, monorail service, watching MK fireworks from beach, rooms, etc, etc........

Beach Club for it's distance to Epcot, theming and rooms, Beaches & Cream (yum), nightly strolls to Boardwalk, lobby, and also friendly CM's.

I wish I could live at one of these resorts
