What is your favorite resort restaurant for dinner - excluding Boma (we already have an ADR). We are on the Dining Plan.

I want to make an ADR for the night we arrive. We don't get in till 7:45pm so I don't want to go eat at a park restaurant and waste an admission day.

My kids love Chef Mickey. contemp
Dh likes Ohana. Poly
I like Cape May (seafood.) I just dont like their set up. :)

Kona Cafe. It's become our new "day of arrival" restaurant.

Is this when you land? So getting to a resort by 9pm or so? Honestly I would probably just use a resort CS. I couldn't tell where you are staying but we thought our CS menu looked pretty good. We ate lunch and breakfast there, but never dinner.

ESPN and Beaches and Cream are in the Boardwalk/Beach Club areas and don't take ADRs so you could play it by ear and head over there your first night. You could do the same with Downtown Disney, but I think the Boardwalk area has a more Disney feel for a first night.

If you think you'll be at the hotel by 7:45pm and really want to make an ADR I would pick something close to 9pm to allow for check in and travel time if its not at your resort.

Again not sure where you are staying, but the mods and values seem to have more extensive CS places than the deluxes.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We don't land till 7:30 so I had was starting to think that we may just eat at our resort POP.

I would agree with a quick bite at the resort you are staying in after getting to your room. Then explore your resort that evening. I say that because many times you will be too busy to even see what your own resort offers once you start traveling around uncle Walts estate.:goodvibes

Our favorite resort restaurant for dinner is California Grill....but my husband and I also enjoy Kona Cafe for breakfast...and have the Tonga Toast. They are two totally different experiences, but that is what makes dining so much fun...all the different 'experiences' to choose from.

I haven't been to too many in the resorts, but Christmas Eve we ate at Narcoosee's and it was fabulous!

DH and I love eating at the resorts just so we can see all of them and what they offer. We enjoy Cape May Cafe, Whispering Canyon and Kona Cafe. The CS at the resorts is always good too and ever so convenient.

If we get in late, we just unpack and head to the pool at our resort. DH or I will go to the CS place and get sandwiches or a pizza or something, then early to bed for our first big day in the parks!

I hear POP food court has one tantilizing tie-dye cheesecake!

Our pick would be O'Hana at the Poly. We try to go there at least once every few months.

Favorite Resort Dinner is Victoria & Albert's!

Second is Jiko

Ohana's for dinner is my favourite.

Cape May Cafe at BC is also very good for dinner.

Yup .... waaaay too late for an ADR in my opinion ... you'll be lucky to be in your room 9:30 or 10:00. You might get very lucky and have everything run very smoothly and maybe get to your room by 9:00 .... but travelling to another resort to eat would not be high on my list of things to do on my first night after travelling all day. I agree, eat at the CS (have not stayed at POP, so don't have a suggestion), but I agree with "Disneys Billpayer" ... get a bite to eat and explore a little around your resort.

We really enjoy the places at the resorts. I think they can be a little more calmer-not including Chef Mickeys that is;) I agree with the other posters about eating at POP it would be a great way to unwind & get ready for the parks. We really loved the FC at POP great choices.
