? Favorite resort and least favorite resort

Can you plase tell me what your favorite and least favorite disney resorts are and why?

Hmmm.... so far, have stayed in CBR, ASMu, ASMo, WL and AKL.

Favorite - tied between WL and AKL - the lobby and theming is awesome at each - this year I will be taking one trip to AKL in June and WL in December - all depends on the itinerary for that trip.

Least favorite - none really, but if I had to choose - one trip at CBR we were in Trinidad South - which was too far from OPR for us, although we love CBR. Also, we prefer ASMu over ASMo.

Woohoo - 52 days until our next trip to AKL!

My favorite resort is the Port Orleans French Quarter. I love the size of the resort and the atmosphere. I've always had great stays there. I've found the cast members there to be extremely friendly and helpful--first rate. Most of my really great cast member experiences have come from the POFQ.

My least favorite resort is the Wilderness Lodge. I had a string of bad luck when I stayed there, and it soured me on the resort. I stayed in three different rooms in five nights, and had a string of problems that including my friends luggage being damaged by bell services, severe noise problems, a cockroach in the room, and a bed that sunk three inches in the middle. I found the bell services to be unresponsive, and the management to be less than helpful. I know that others love this resort, but I had a bad stay. Anyone one of these problems, and I would have gone with the flow, but there were about 10 things that went wrong during that stay.

favorite: poly, least favorite: bwi. poly was a 10 and bwi was a 9.9. these are the only two i have stayed at and i would stay at either one again.

We have stayed at POFQ, ASMo, CSR, Swan and Pop.

Favorite: I believe CSR would be my favorite but POFQ is a really, really close second.
Least Favorite: Swan. The location could not be beat but it just didn't feel very Disney to me and the room decor was really not to our taste. It was just distracting. I really wanted to like it but it was not for us. I know others love it.

Fave: AKL Beautiful resort!

Least: Contemporary A bit unkempt/dishevled (sp?)

Honorable Mention: CSR The grounds are gorgeous!

We have stayed @POR, CB, CS and BC.

Favorite - BC hands down. I liked that it was a "smaller" resort. Pool to die for. Having ice cream at Beaches and Cream everynight and going for a stroll with DH at the Boardwalk.

Least Liked - CS. Did not like the themeing. We were in a building far from everything. Just did not care for this at all.

We are trying the BWI this trip.

Favorite - Oh yes, it has to be AKL. That is one fantastic place! From the moment you walk in your every sence is filled. The aroma, sounds, textures, view. The staff are wonderful and the rooms very comfortable and perfect in size for my DH and myself. Can't beat the views Yep, totally in love with AKL

Least Favorite - I hope I don't get flamed for this. Shades of Green. We really had a very bad visit there. The rooms are large, but the place is cold both in staff attitudes and themeing. It is very, very large with long hallways and very long walks to parking, pools, food, front desk. Not a customer service resort.

We are staying at the Poly and back to AKL on our next trip

I've stayed at ASM, CBR, Ft. Wilderness Cabins, BWI and Poly.

I'd say my favorite is the Polynesian and least favorite is ASM- but I still liked it there.

We've stayed at these resorts: WL, YC, BC, CR, CBR, Coronado, Poly, Swan, GF, All Star Music

FAVE: The Polynesian. Love the atmosphere, the landscaping, the convenience (can't be beat!!!), watching Wishes from the beach, underwater Hawaiin music, everything!! Great dining options. Wonderful CM's - and a dose of Disney magic. The Poly is truly a magical place.

LEAST FAVE: I'm going to rule out All Star Music - it's not fair to compare it to the others IMHO. It would be the least fave by default. So, out of the others I would say it's a tie between WL and CBR. Not that I hated either of those, just comparing it to the others. Out of the moderates, Coronado appealed more to us. Although we enjoyed CBR. WL, although beautiful, didn't feel as deluxe as we expected. The rooms are small and dark, pool is tiny, the CMs weren't that great in our experience anyway, and the transportation was so slow.

Favorite: Contemporary -- location, location, location. Big rooms, fun decor, friendly CMs plus the monorail.

Least favorite: CSR -- long hike to room from the bus stop after a day at the parks; resort way spread out (actually had to DRIVE to another building for a haircut).

We've stayed at YC, Poly, POR, CBR, CS, ***, and FW.
Favorite -- YC. Location, pool, all in building, luxurious feel.

Least favorite - ***. If I eliminate it as PamNC did, my least favorite would be FW. Loved the cabin itself and the woodsy surroundings, but found the location too remote and transportation too convoluted.

We have stayed at CBR,Poly,OKW,WL,AKL,YC and BC.

I must say that we have enjoyed every resort. Each offered something different. We usually ask ourselves where will we spend the most time~ which park and pick a resort near there. Or if money an issue we have no problem staying at a moderate. We haven't stayed value but will next trip. Our last trip we had 3 boys under 3 yrs old. So we knew we would be at the resort more so we splurged and stayed at the Poly LVC and AKL concierge. They were both incredible. In fact we are ending our last 4 days at the Poly LVC b/c my folks are coming with us and we want to treat them. we can't wait till we've tried all the resorts. Our outlook is "We're blessed to be at WDW, lets enjoy our family time and have fun"

FAV: Tie between Poly and AKL

Least Fav: if pressed for a must answer I'd say OKW. Pool was unimpressive and had more of a condo feel than a "I'm at Disney" feel. I could have been in Miami or Tampa. But with that said I would still stay there if room was an issue. Rooms were tremendous.

Next trip in under a month ~ ASMO, BCV and Poly (YEAH!!!!)

What about 'value' resorts... we never spend much time in our hotel room when we are on vacatioin...are the more expensive resorts worth the money??

Favorite resort: the Poly.....location is great, love the tropical feel, kids love the volcano pool, and the food is spectacular.

Least favorite: Animal Kingdom Lodge.....although we love the atmosphere of the lodge, the grounds and such (and Boma, yummy!), we had such unpleasant CM's, that they unfortunately brought our liking of this resort down quite a bit. Also the rooms are tiny.

I have stayed at CR, CBR, WL and Fort Wilderness.

I would say my favorite would have to be WL. We just loved it there.

My least favoite-Fort Wilderness but I was 4 and Chip and Dale scared me. I really don't have a least favorite.

My favorite for room size and easy access to car is OKW. It was prefect with kids who needed to nap and since the car is right by your door, it was so nice with a little 3 yr old. we drove to all the parks, faster than the buses. That said, the theming isn't Disney - but it was quiet and perfect for us. When the kids get older, OKW won't cut it.

Contemporary was my favorite for easy access to everything within a budget. Love Chef Mickey's, and the monorail inside. I can't justify $200 more for Grand Floridian.

Worst was All Stars - we checked out within 1 day. I know it is cheap but it was so small and so loud and buses were so slow. Nothing to really do there. I rather pay a little more and stay at a moderate. Port Orleans is the best tru moderate, IMO

Have stayed at Poly, Dolphon, GF and POFQ.

Favorite: Hands down - Grand Floridian. Love it, love it, love it.

Least favorite: Poly - It was about 16 years ago that we stayed there and it just did not fit "Disney" for me. They were just building the GF at the time and I was dying to stay there one day...

I think I like YC and WL the best. My least favorite so far has been ASMo. I also don't like AKL. Even though I've never stayed there I don't like. To me it looks like a shack.
