Favorite quiet spots

My family is going to WDW in May for my sister’s high school graduation celebration- yay! However, I am currently studying to take the LSAT on June 11th (not yay). And it turns out that I will have to take a diagnostic LSAT as part of my prep course on the same weekend that we’ll be at disney. (And i work full time so no, I cannot just take the exam on a different day). It’s a self-administered practice test so all I’ll need is quiet space to focus and work. So I’ll need a space at one of the resorts that is relatively quiet where I can get up early (7-8AM) and be for around 3 1/2 hours to take the diagnostic exam without really being too disturbed.

Does anyone know of some spots like this at the resorts? (Bonus points if you know of one at one of the EPCOT resorts, as we are staying at the Swan and Dolphin.)

Does the Swolphin have a business center? I've used other hotel business centers and usually they are fairly quiet (granted this was before smartphones were everywhere)

There is a business center off the lobby at the Swan. No guarantees no one else will be utilizing it, but when I've been there, I've been the only one in there. It is also in a quieter section of the lobby where I've seen many convention attendees taking breaks throughout the day. IMHO, Swan is probably one of the quieter resorts in the EP area. OP, when you arrive at the resort, perhaps just take a walk around or even ask the front desk or concierge staff if there is a good spot they can recommend.

My husband has to take a lot of work calls when we are at WDW. He is typically always able to find some quiet place for his calls. He said the best place was at the Contemporary resort in the conference area where there was seating but there was no one around. I'm sure it's a different situation when there is conference being held there. But in general, he stays in the resort room and does his work from there.

The best quiet spot where you’re guaranteed you won’t be disturbed is your room. Any public spot at any resort is well, public. Families will be walking in and out. Especially for that length of time required. If you’re staying off site, and relying on a car with others you can stay behind and do your exam and take an Uber over to meet up with your party later.

The Solarium at the Beach Club is often fairly quiet, unless there is a scheduled event, at least when I’ve been in the last (admittedly in the Jan/Feb slow seasons).

Yes, the lovely security check if she is staying in a WDW resort, ugh. But I’m fairly sure that if she phoned housekeeping or went to desk to explain she has to take an exam and can’t be disturbed for 3.5 hrs they’d respect that request.

Something so totally wrong and intrusive about having to deal with these pointless checks.

The Solarium at the Beach Club is often fairly quiet, unless there is a scheduled event, at least when I’ve been in the last (admittedly in the Jan/Feb slow seasons).

Some families go bring their meal in there to eat, due to limited seating in The Marketplace, or just for pleasant surroundings. We do.

OP says she's staying at the Swan/Dolphin. Are they doing these crazy checks there?? Please say no- I have two nights booked there in May because I won't stay at a Disney resort right now with these disturbances.

No idea. But they aren’t run by Disney so you may be safe. Maybe someone has posted about it on Swan/Dolphin thread.

Does the Swan or Dolphin do those? Ask for early Housekeeping if they do & then no security check.
