HI - we are going for the first time this summer We're making no real plans for our first day. We will probably go into a park at some point but just seeing where the day takes us. We are staying in DLH. We have two teens. We'll probably swim and explore the hotel and area the first day and do something casual for dinner. What are some of the good options for a dinner in Downtown Disney for someone who doesn't want to pre-plan? We are open to most types of food. Thanks!

We love Naples and Tortilla Jo's for sit-down meals, and depending on the crowds, walk-up waits can be manageable. However, both of those places have really good QS options next door.

Naples has Napolini next door, and they do really good small pizzas to-go that can feed 1 very hungry person or 2 not-so-hungry or younger people.

Tortilla Jo's has a taqueria attached, and you go down the line to order nachos, tacos, burritos, etc. Very good also.

You can check out the menus online for Tangaroa Terrace at DLH, and Craftsman Grill at GCH to see if either of those places appeal to you. We like both of those, also.

Have fun!!!

Black Tap might also be a good option for you. It's sort of between TS and QS. You order at the counter but they bring the food to your table (which you cannot get until after you have ordered- no table camping/holding). No reservations. I enjoyed our food there and the crazy shakes are definitely an experience. The wait varies but even though the line looked pretty long when we went it felt like it moved fairly quickly and we did not have trouble getting a table after we ordered.

Oh, I forgot about Black Tap. I have it on our list to try next month. Do you know if they easily do food to go? We might want to take that back to the GCH pool on our travel day.

I don't think they do to go but I could be wrong. There is a walkup window outside where you can get some of the Crazyshakes to go but no food there.
