Favorite Purchases On Board

Kris (pal2pluto),
Believe it or not, I had already slept 6 hours when I posted sy 3:10 A.M.! I wasn't up late, but up early! :) I guess I have too much on my mind with the cruise so close!!!! I can't wait to visit the gift shop! When is the earliest we can visit? As soon as the ship starts moving??? Of course I'll wait until after the departure party! Last cruise I didn't go until the last night at about 10:00 pm and I don't want to wait that long this time!

I just sailed with my best friend and she bought me the cruise bank as a way that we can save for our next cruise. Great idea! It is a rubber bank with Minnie, Mickey, Goofy and Donald, but the idea is wonerful. I can't wait to go again!!

Favorite purchase on the ship has to be the scrapbooks I picked up on our last two cruises. I was able to fill them with lots of great memories.

Favorite purchase off the ship - my Australian Opal and Diamond ring we got in St. Martin. I wear it every day as a beautiful memory of our 7 day Eastern Cruise.

My favorite was the towel and checkers set at She Sells on CC! The beach towel has a checkerboard on it, and it comes with checkers.

DROCKS

Go to ChristopherRadko.com and you will be able to find the ornament.

Buy much on board but my favorite purchase on the trip was a Tanzinite ring.
in Freeport

picture frames are one of my favorites, and then of course the alchoholic beverages that come in the souvenier (spelling/) glasses. We use the heck out of them, and are reminded of our cruise almost daily. great for smoothies, drinks, and jello.

My FAVOURITE thing was our DVC add on!!!! BUT really, I absolutely ADORE my Disney Cruise snow globe! It sits on a shelf in my brand new kitchen and everyone comments on it! I can almost pick out our last cabin! (kidding). This year I plan on getting a Radko Christmas ornament and a sweatshirt. Plus am keeping fingers crossed we get our Castaway Club beach towels -- if NOT I most definately will be getting beach towels (was sorry I didn't get one last time).

Shutters pictures are GREAT too!

Hard to pick just one but probably the signed model of the ship, after the photos of course.

Note on the scrapbooks - so no one repeats my mistake! Unless they've redone them, and that is possible, the 12x12 format is not precisely square. I have one page in my last book that must be looked at sideways!

When we go on (any) vacation we ALWAYS purchase a Christmas ornament to signify the place and year.

Now about the Radko ornament - is that the ONLY Christmas ornament that they sell in the shops onboard? How much is it? If there are others how much do they cost?

Thanks for the information.

I do the same thing! Everything on our Christmas tree has a meaning or memory. Our ornaments will be the only things my kids fight over when they inherit them!

I had intentions of buying the Radko ornament when we sailed last month. It was indeed beautiful. It really is too big for our tree, however, so I planned to display it year round. When I showed the Radko to my dh and told him about my display plans, he kind of scrunched up his nose and said "That's dumb, isn't it?"
I didn't get it, but of course I shouldn't have listened to him. That's on my list for the next trip!

They do have a beautiful "regular" ornament. It is a Barlow Designs ornament which is a gold edged disk with a maroon bow on the top with a hanging ribbon. It has a painting of the Magic and it is dated - that's a plus for my collection. It was $20.

Ruth - hoping to get a 2003 Magic ornament too!

On the inaugural Eastern Caribbean cruise of the Disney Magic, we purchased a limited edition lithograph that was signed by the captain. It hangs in a place in our house where we see it every day and it is a wonderful reminder of the great time that we had on that cruise.
