What are some of your favorite places to eat that do not require ADRs? Any type of food or service. A hot dog cart or a snack stand is fine, if you know of a good one--as long as it serves something I could eat for lunch.

Also, are you generally better off grabbing a snack at a resort or at one of the theme parks?

Do all the restaurants at Downtown Disney require reservations?

No reservations are required at Earl of Sandwich at DTD. Good food at good prices at EoS.

Wofgang puck express at DTD!!

The one in marketplace has a better selection but I actually like the pepperoni pizza at the one near disney quest better.

Cosmic Rays in MK was pretty good too.
Oh and the Fish and Chips from the window next to Rose and Crown.

Earl of Sandwich!!

I can't believe DW and I walked up to Le Cellier last Saturday and got in at 4:30 for dinner. I didn't even want to walk over there and ask cause I thought it would be impossible, but DW wanted to try and we did it.

DTD- Earl of sandwich
Wolfgang Puck
Raglan Road (I have never needed an ADR here)- the brown bread and Guinness reduction sauce is heavenly as are most items on their menu.

MK-Columbia Harbour House- Love the tuna sandwich

Epcot- Sunshine Seasons- I have gone to Epcot just to eat the Turkey w/chipotle mayo sandwich here

World Showcase- France Boulangerie Patisserie- Tasty sandwiches on french bread

EPCOT Yakitori House in Japan or Fish and Chips next to Rose and Crown
MK Pecos Bill's or Cosmic Rays
DTD T-Rex Cafe, Rainforest Cafe or Earl of Sandwich

Agree with previous posters about EoS and WP Express in DTD and Pecos Bills in MK. Also, Beaches and Cream at Beach Club. Easy walk out of Epcot's international gateway. May require some good timing if you want to be seated right away, but if you're a party of one, you've got a good chance of being seated at the counter very quickly, even if there's wait for tables.

Is there any place good to get a sandwich near the Port of Orleans complex? We were thinking of spending some time over there and maybe renting a kayak to go up and down the Sassagoula River.

WPE all the way!!! This place is such a little gem.

Good food, they bring your food to you, they refill your soda. Mmmm I can taste the spaghetti now!!! :)

The Sushi Bar at the Polynesian...actually any bar. We hardly ever make ADRs and usually just try to get a seat at the bar at most restaurants...I know MUCh easier with out kids :)

MK -
Columbia Harbour House - fish, shrimp, chicken strips, tuna sandwich
Cosmic Ray's - BBQ ribs, rotisserie chicken

AK -
Pizzafari - hot Italian sandwich with ham, salami, lettuce & pesto soaked tomatoes (They also serve this at Catalina Eddie's in DHS.)
Flame Tree BBQ - self-explanatory

E -
Sunshine Seasons - rotisserie chicken, gourmet sandwiches, chinese food, delicious desserts in the bakery
Yorkshire County Fish Shop - kiosk in UK that only serves fish & chips

DTD -
Goofy's Candy Co!!!

The POR food court, River Mill, has great food! We love the create your own pasta station. You select your pasta, sauce, veggies & meat then they cook it to order. It is served with a slice of garlic bread that they call a breadstick. Very filling! They also have a carving station with different meats after 4 pm, the usual burgers & chicken strips plus a ciabatta sandwich. Great options & delish desserts!!

our fave "walk in" is boatwrights at POR... we also love WPC at DTD... and the Plaza at MK (we have been able to walk up when they open and score a ressie for later the same day on more than one occasion)...

My dining style is mostly CS restaurants, with three or four TS ADRs for a one-week trip. My favorite CS options are:

  • Sunshine Seasons (rotisserie chicken)
  • Columbia Harbor House (tuna sandwich)
  • The fish and chips "window" at Epcot (fish and chips, of course!)
  • The POR food court - wonderful food! (rotisserie chicken, "make your own" pasta bar, "make your own" salad bar)
  • Wolfgang Puck Express (chicken quesadilla)
  • Earl of Sandwich (everything!)

And one place I discovered on a recent trip was Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian. It's the bar located by Kona Cafe - they have wonderful lettuce wraps!

Thanks everyone--I just realized the term for what I want is CS (stands for counter service) and there are lots of CS threads. Thanks to those of you who were kind to tihs newbie and posted the info again. I really appreciated it.

ham and cheese crosissants from the patisserie in France(EP). hands down our favorite and cheap as well.
