Just looking for outside park places that you have been to and recommend. Something else besides DTD. Thanks.

I'm not sure if you mean in WDW like as in resorts, or out of WDW (off property)?

I can only recommend restaurants in WDW so they are:

AKL: Boma, Jiko
Contemporary: California Grill, Chef Mickeys
Grand Floridian: Narcoossee's
Polynesian: Ohana's
Yacht club: Yachstman steakhouse

Some of these are signature dining, which require 2 TS credits on the DP. You must also get dressed up for these.

Hope this helps.

Thanks but I mean OFF as on International Drive and beyond. I have some ressies for on site but I'm trying to go cheaper a few nights and want to do the best "of the rest" in the area.

Winter Garden has a nice new shopping area. Just take 429 up.
Also, just recently in (historic) downtown WG, a french bakery just opened. They also serve meals.
Pretty good stuff.
We ate there last weekend, and it was their first weeknd. Place was hectic. But what good lookin' stuff. Now no need for us to go all the way into WS to the french bakery there. ;)
LOTS of palces all around WDW. Depends on what you like, where you want to go, etc.

What is this 'off' property of which you speak? :confused3 :lmao: :rotfl2:

Try Kobe Japanese Restaurant. There are many locations in Orlando. We always make it a point to go at least once during our trip. They cook the food in front of you. It is reasonably priced and the food is good. Did I mention all of the Chefs are from Kobe Japan. Now I know what you are thinking this is a pricey place to eat but it is not.
You get a lot of food too.
Go you will not be disappointed. If you have kids they will get a kick out of having the food cooked right in front of them. The chefs make it fun.

YUM can't wait to go again

OMG this place http://www.maggianos.com/default.asp
Is so GOOD. It is right on I drive right near the wonderworks, in the plaza they have. It is not cheap but it is so worth. We went 2 times! If you have kids they have excellent kids meals and they are very well priced.
We are going this weekend to the one nearer to us in Boston.

California Grill
Jiko
Boma
Flying Fish
Spoodles
Citrico's
IL Molino

These are our favorite non - park places to eat.

Well, I'm not sure it's a less expensive option, but we love Margaritaville at Universal's CityWalk.

Call us crazy but we just love Cracker Barrel :rotfl2: There are two on 192, one to the right as you leave WDW and one to the left in the "Formosa Gardens" shopping center.

Also a Giordanos Pizza with real "Chicago Style" deep dish pizza at Formosa Gardens.

We live locally, and there are a lot of really good restaurants at Formosa Gardens.

Okay -- I WILL call you crazy. :lmao:
Even on 192, by Celebration, we like Joe's Crab Shack. :cutie:

CTmommyx3 - don't worry - my friend - my good Italian friend has sung Maggiano's virtures since last year and that is already on my list and we probably will be going a couple of times. Shelly - I will look into Kobe Japanese. Thanks. And also the ale house.

We always loved Cafe Tu Tu Tango when we lived in Orlando... serves tapas (small plates) that you share. Order 2 or so for each person. It's on I-Drive, just a bit North of the Beeline (well, BEACHline now I guess). Yummy!

Our favorite place is Bahama Breeze, there are 2 locations, one off I-Drive
and one just off 1-4 @ 535 by the Premium Outlets. There is always a long wait on the weekends, but they have call ahead and the outside bar is nice, a bit loud when there is music, and when it is chilly there is seating around a fire pit. The food is caribbean and they have really good drinks. Their strawberry mojito is great! :goodvibes

We recently went to Cafe Tu Tu Tango and I was not impressed by the food. Most of it was mediocre and pricey for portion size, it was a Sunday afternoon, the place was dead yet the service took forever. Our waiter apologized at least 6 or 7 times.

Oh and I forgot about Logan's Roadhouse:rotfl2: Leaving WDW turn East on 192. Their "grilled meatloaf" is great!
