Do you have a favorite place to sit in the MDRs? Understanding that this information will be dependent upon ship and dining establishment.

We only have cruised on the Wonder and have always been happy with our tables but I wonder if other folks have a favorite MDR location depending on the ship and venue.

Personally, I like sitting near the server's prep area/wait stand. I find it interesting to watch the "prepping".

Thanks,
Kate

Personally, I'd prefer not to be right next to the server's station. But it's next to impossible in most the MDRs as they have serving stations about every 4 tables.

I like window tables - but we take whatever we're assigned unless there's some specific reason to change (and not having a window doesn't count!) Typically if we have a window in one dining room, we won't necessarily have one in another, so it seems they like to spread that out as well.

Prefer to not be too far back in the restaurant since my 13 year old will invariably want to run out to the restroom at some point. Other than that, we've never had any issues with where we sat. It WAS cool to be at a table during the Animator's Palate show where Crush talked to us; we were just lucky I guess!

I don't have a favorite spot but once on the Fantasy I was placed in this back room with four or five other tables which was quite but I would have preferred to be in the actual MDR where I can see everything.

Since you have the same table number in each room, they seem to mix up where those tables are in the different rooms.

In one MDR, we were in the main room, but off to the side, so we could observe all of the action but not be too much in the commotion. In the next MDR we were next to the window. That was nice, and since it was Main seating, it was still light outside. The third room we were more on the main path, which made it easy to get to, but meant a lot of people passing by our table too.

Remember, you can always go to an MDR for breakfast or lunch too (a designated MDR) and in that case, you won't have your "usual" table so you can try out different things like the windows or the booths in the middle, etc.

We had a table by the stage and "aisle" where the entertainers walk/sing/dance in Tiana's on the Wonder. Our server was apologizing because of the noise from sitting there, but we loved it! Great view of the action! So I guess each person likes different tables for different reasons. And PS I dislike the tables near the server stations. Too stressful for me to watch.
