Favorite Perfumes

The B&BW thread got me thinking. What are your favorite "fancy" perfumes? Right now I'm in absolute love with Jivago Paris. I've had it for a while but just got into it now. It's more of an evening out perfume. I can't stop smelling it!

My favorite all time is Laila which I wear almost everyday. I also love Christian Dior Escale à Portofino - I got a sample of this in Epcot, used it up and lost the card. A few years later, my friend was wearing a scent and I KNEW it was what I had before. I finally found it at the Dior counter in Macy's and snatched it up. $$$ but so worth it

The only fancy perfume I ever wore was Chanel No. 5. I wore it because it reminded me of a favorite aunt who was also kind of a role model of mine.

I love the smell of Skin musk. Not fancy -- you can buy it at the drugstore -- but I love the smell!

How funny. Jivago is my favorite partly because my favorite aunt wears it too!

I almost never leave the house without a splash of Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue. I think I've been wearing it for a decade now and will be devastated if it is ever discontinued.

In the summer I wear Blu Mediterraneo Arancia di Capri that I got at the Italian Pavillion in Epcot.

In the winter I wear Obsession.

Not a perfume, but the scent I love is Philosophy's Amazing Grace. Maybe it comes in perfume, but I just use the body wash, lotion and splash-on cologne. Summer Grace and Pure Grace are nice too - so fresh and clean smelling.

I'm one of the few people I know who enjoys the perfume inserts that come in magazines, the Macy's bills & ads. I need to write down some of the scents I like and try it on in the store, wear it home and see how it smells. Smelling from a piece of paper doesn't tell you what it'll smell like on you.

I love Amazing Grace too. I'm not a perfume lover. Most are too much for me, but there is just something gentle and lovely about Amazing Grace.

Lady Gaga's fragrance, Fame, smells wonderful on me. It smelled just okay from the bottle, but I'm glad I wore it for the first week I got it, or else it would have gone back. It's a warmer scent, in my opinion, so I would wear it when going to the theatre and nicer dinners.

I also really enjoy Sarah Jessica Parker's SJP! I don't think it's really around anymore, but it is such a fun spring/summer fragrance.

And you can't go wrong with Ralph Lauren's Blue.

With an honorable mention to Thierry Mugler - Angel, had a sample and it always smelled so good. Need to get a full sized one.
