Being in the culinary field myself, the food offerings at Disneyland always interest me. What are your favorite items they sell? The Dole Whip seems to rank high for everyone, but not one of my favorites actually...could have to do with not liking pineapple.

My current "must-haves" are as follows: the Coke Corner jalapeno cheese stuffed pretzel, the Plaza Inn Cobb Salad, beignets from New Orleans square (though word is they used to be better), the Monte Cristo, pommes frites, and ratatouille at Cafe Orleans, and the Big Thunder Ranch barbecue offerings are fairly decent if pricey under the current system.

I have been hearing good things about the new hamburgers and parfaits on the Tomorrowland Terrace menu...anyone out there have personal experience or reviews with these? And feel free to share your own food thoughts and likes/dislikes!

Every Disney trip I HAVE to have a frozen chocolate covered banana! I also enjoy the Pommes Frites, Monte Cristo and Chicken Caesar Salad from Cafe Orleans. Aaaand I also like the chimichangas at the little "stands" (I knooow!) and the Tuna Salad Sanwich at the Blue Ribbon Bakery.
:thumbsup2

Oh I am so with you on the Monte Cristo and Pomme Frittes!:thumbsup2 The baked potato soup at Carnation Cafe is delicious. The Corn dog from the redcart on Main St. And the Firehouse Sundae at the Cone Shop.

Who am I kidding? I could go on and on!:rotfl2:

I have made the baked potato soup at home before, the recipe is in a book they were selling at the park for a while and might still be, of various recipes from the theme parks. It is good stuff. Never had a ice cream from the Main Street cone window, honestly...but then I don't go in summer, so likely might not even be open when I visit!

Another vote for the Loaded Baked Potato soup. My favorite treats are the coconut macaroons from Blue Ribbon Bakery.

everything is yummy- except the pizza! hehehe...... tigger tails, fudge, choc straw, dole whips, pickles, corn on cob, corn dog, soup... lol even the popcorn is yummy! popcorn:: I just go to DL to eat!

My favorites/must gets are...
Monte Cristo, pomme frittes, and gumbo at Cafe Orleans
loaded baked potato soup w/ turkey sandwich at Carnation Cafe
smores sandwich thing at Pooh's Corner
chocolate croissant at Blue Ribbon Bakery

We really like the skewers at the Bengal BBQ. We usually make that our first meal of the trip.

I have yet to try the Bengal skewers, but most everyone rates them highly. Shall have to see about that during the October trip.

They're pretty yummy! My husband and I usually split three meat skewers and an asparagus skewer, so four in total. It's not a huge meal but it hits the spot!

Good to know, thanks for the info! One of them involves bacon, right? I am all about bacon heh, so that would likely be the initial choice.

Another vote for the baked potato soup, pommes frittes, Cafe Orleans/Blue Bayou gumbo, and the skewers at Bengal BBQ.

Also: the soft gingerbread cookies with chocolate dipped "Mouse ears" on them that they have around the holidays, the fusilli at Pizza Port, and, of course Mickey pancakes & waffles (from various places around DLR) :thumbsup2

Some of my favorites:
Baked potato soup at Carnation Cafe
Oscar's chef salad at Carnation Cafe
Fresh toffee at the candy shop
Chicken fussilli at Pizza Port
Fried chicken at Plaza Inn
"Seasonal" cookie with chocolate frosting - sugar cookie with hint of almond, shaped like something holiday themed, they looked like sandals during our summer visits, sold at the candy shops
Sourdough bread at DCA
Cream puffs at Pacific Wharf, they don't make them anymore :sad1:

Not in the parks but nearby and yummy:
Kettle corn in DtD
Filet mignon burger and garlic fries at Jazz Kitchen
Bear claw at DLH coffee shop
Thanksgiving dinner at Storyteller's Cafe

omg I ALWAYS need to get a frozen banana too!
And a churro....
I also LOVE the parfait's from Clarabelle's in Toon Town.
The potatoes at Blue Bayou are delicious!!!
The Mickey Waffles were good. I had this egg-whites breakfast with veggies a few years back (I could have sworn it was in New Orleans Square) but none of the menus show that dish anymore :confused3 It was my favorite!! :(
For some reason, food always just tastes better in Disneyland! I have yet to encounter food I don't like at DLR.

i absolutley LOVE the chocolate chip supreme cookies they sell at the bakery shops in the park they are giant and just so mouthwatering good, thats the one thing i MUST get when i go there, i buy one and eat it while watching the aladdin play in DCA.....even if it says no food allowed:rotfl:

one i really want to try is new chocolate peanut butter sandwhich they have at the bakery's its peanut butter between two graham crackers dipped in chocolate....looks sooooo good, especially if your a peanut butter fiend like myself!

I second the fusilli at Pizza Port.

My most favorite thing is the warm caramel corn at DCA! I've hurt myself and broken a camera for the corn!!! Can't run in flip flops in the park...

Oooh, I love the food threads... I have to read them all!

We always have to get Churros on the first day.
Love the food and experience at the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ.
We always eat at least two meals at the Golden Horseshoe, ordering fish & chips and chili cheese fries. The Billys are a must see!
I LOVE the nachos from Tortilla Jo's Taqueria in Downtown Disney- the carnitas are yummy!
Two words - Dole Whip! Actually I love the float most, but the kids just get the whip.

On our next trip I am determined to try the Chicken Fusilli at Pizza Port and the fried chicken at the Plaza Inn. So many things to try...

Also: the soft gingerbread cookies with chocolate dipped "Mouse ears" on them that they have around the holidays,

We were at DL in May and they had these cookies at the bakery in DCA. They were just as good in May as they were in December! Wish I had one now.
