Wondered if anyone ventures off-site for an excellent steak dinner. If so, where?

I know it's not offsite, but Shulas at Swan&Dolphin has amazing steaks. If you're looking for offsite, I think you would get more responses on the Orlando Hotels and Attractions board.

You can always try Charlies on International Drive, All the steaks are cooked on an applewood fire.

we never go off site once we there.:cool1: hear Shulas is great over to S&D but is not in the city we live in so not going chance it on vacation

we always went to Yachstman's for steak but then tried Kona's Cafe in the Poly and was great.

Le Celleir in Canada is also good but has went to 2 TS and to us not worth that:sad1:

I can't speak from personal experience but I very much look forward to someday trying the Bull & Bear steakhouse at the Waldorf-Astoria Orlando.

I know if you want good steak, you'd pay the price. But their steak is not that great of a quality for their 50+$ steaks. Plus their service is horrible. My parents did an anniversary dinner there January and the only person who treated them nice was their wine Connoisseur. They found the seasoning on the steak to be too salty.

Go to Ruth's Chris (on Sand Lake Road), or The Venetian Room at the Caribe Orlando Royale.

I've heard that the Capital Grille and Morton's are good.

We usually stay onsite too and I think that's what we'll probably do on our upcoming trip. Just was feeling out if anyone had a favorite off site place. We have done Le Cellier several times and really like it. We just wanted to try some place new. Honestly, leaning towards Yachtsman.

Went to Charlies about 14 years ago (if it's the same place) and remember it was awesome! Thanks for reminding me.

In no particular order 1. Johnnies Hideaway
2. Texas De Brazil
3. Any of the Charlies
4. Mortons

I'll second the Capital Grille. The service is always outstanding in a refreshingly old-school yet completely unpretentious way. The first courses, salads, and side dishes equal the steaks. The wine list is large and decently priced, as far as that goes.

The steaks are mostly choice and wet aged, but they do have some prime and dry-aged as well, and there's no silly semantic or guessing games about which is which. The cooks also understand what "rare" means.

Timpano on Sand Lake Road. Great atmosphere, superb service and one of the best steaks I've ever had.
