If you're looking to eat at one of the hotels, or at Downtown, where do you go? DH & I usually try for many dinners at EPCOT, but if we go down for a long weekend, we might want to try some of the more romantic non-park restaurants. Which would you suggest?

I'm not sure if I'd call it romantic, but I really loved Sanaa at AKL. The food is great and the decor is beautiful.

Also not sure this is particularly romantic....but it is a "must" for us every trip we make to Disney => Raglan Road in Downtown Disney. Book for 7pm or later and there is a good chance you can experience some live Irish music during your meal. :thumbsup2

Favourite resort restaurant would definatly be Ohanas, we  it so much we had our wedding dinner there. Have booked 2 adrs here for our upcoming holiday in sept :thumbsup2
Favourite DTD restaurant would be Fultons, cannot wait to go back here . Had nt booked an adr last time, just walked up & am so glad we did. My dh is nt big on seafood & loved it too

From my last trip, I'd have to put out both Citrco's and Jiko. Both were excellent.

If on a dining plan, note that these are both 2TS restaurants, so if looking for 1 TS credit meal (if that's a concern), I'm not entirely sure. I'll be hitting up Sanaa, GFC, and Kona Cafe this year, but haven't done them yet. I think Boma and Maya Grill were my only resort 1TS meals last year. Boma was good, Maya, not so much.

You will get a lot of different response here.
I love California Grill :goodvibes

I love Todd English's Blue Zoo at the Dolphin, the food and the restaurant ambiance are fabulous, my new obsession. If you're in the SSR area, we also enjoy the Turf Club! DTD, I've enjoyed Portobellos though I hear for fabulous Italian food, it's Il Mulano at the Swan (I'd love to try it next trip)

With no kids?

Signatures:
1. California Grill
2. Jiko
3. Narcoosee's (I think that's a signature)

Atmosphere:
1. Bongo's (Food isn't gourmet, but it's fun, and the mojito's are great! Plus they don't take ADR's which is great for us slackers.)
2. Raglan Road
3. A cozy evening in your room with take out. (Does that count?) ;)

Not necessarily romantic but our favorite restaurants are:

Resorts:
Flying Fish
Artist Point
Jiko
California Grill

DTD:
Bongos
Raglan Road
House of Blues

Shulas, Blue Zoo, Citricos , Il Mulino are all excellent choices--the most kid free and as a result, as romantic as you'll get at WDW.

Jiko
Artist's Point
California Grill
Flying Fish

We've done them each mulitiple times and enjoyed each visit.

Dying to try Citricos and Bluezoo. Maybe next trip!

citricos, flying fish, todd english's blue zoo, california grill. but i don't think you need a restaurant for it to be romantic, my husband made a picnic for us and we ate it on the beach at the gf and watched the fireworks. total surprise and lovely.

For romance, I'd go with Artist Point. For the last 8 years, we've celebrated our anniversary there. Just this morning I made reservations for our 30th. Anothe nice place, at least at lunchtime with the sunny windows is the Grand Floridian Cafe.
