We will most likely have a couple extra quick service credits at the end of our stay in Aug. Since we are driving, I was planning on using any extra credits to grab a sandwich or 2 for the road trip. I plan on having a small insulated bag and a couple ice packs.

Our last meal before hitting the road is Ohana breakfast. Since we have our car, we can stop at any resort or Disney Springs to grab a meal for the road before starting the long drive home to NJ.

Any sandwich suggestions?

Earl of Sandwich! Hands down. Consistently good, affordable price. When we were last there, I think they were on the DDP. We don't have any EOS by us so we look forward to it each trip. We did the same thing, grabbed them to go on our last day. (The only downside is they often have a long line but it moves fairly fast.)

This is in Disney Springs BTW.

Logistically, it's not so easy to pop over to Disney Springs by car anymore. Many years ago, you could park in the marketplace but that parking lot is gone. You'd have to park over in one of the garages and walk over, which is a hike.

Your best bet is to grab sandwiches from Captain Cook's Grab n Go right there in the Poly. I always grab a sandwich for the flight home and they're fine.

Grab some treats the night before and put them in a Tupperware container. My kids LOVE Mickey Gingerbread cookies. We use all our extra snack credits to bring them home. I take a container with us to keep them fresh and from breaking. We've also taken carrot cake cookies from DHS, pastries from Norway and France in EP home.

I guess it depends on the person. For sure it won't be a quick in and out, but I don't think walking from the line parking garage to Wolfgang Puck Express is too bad, especially if you also wanted to run into world of Disney for last minute shopping(which is totally what I would do). I love the warm chicken aioli sandwich from WPE. This is my favorite sandwich in all of Disney since Pizzafarri did away with the hot Italian deli sandwich. Earl of Sandwich is also really good, as someone else posted.

I like to hang out and read tips and reviews, but have never posted. Your response made me take the time to register just to agree with you.
That Italian deli sandwich was something special.

Great food, or lack thereof, is motivating
It completely ruined at least 15 minutes of my day (and I'm sure I sulked some more after that) the first time I went to Pizzafarri and realized they changed the menu. I usually keep up on these things, and I knew they did a reno there, but it never occurred to me that they would change the menu. I loved their menu! I even thought the pizza and breadsticks were fantastic. I did see there is a hot Italian sandwich at one of the all star resor food courts so I'm thinking of checking it out next time we are there to see if it's the same.

I dejectedly ordered one of the flatbreads our last visit in September. It was honestly pretty good. But it wasn't that sandwich. Got a little free time this upcoming trip in a couple weeks, might visit All-Star and check that sandwich out myself.

I would go next door to the Grand Floridian to Gasparilla Grill. Their Mahi Mahi sandwich is all kinds of fantastic and the rest of the menu is good too.

I've also had good luck at the counter service at the Contemporary.
