My ADR date is rapidly approaching and I'm trying to finalize my list. We have two slots for a slow, relaxing breakfast/brunch - one nonpark day, and departure day.

I know 1900 Park Fare, 'Ohana, etc get a lot of love for the character interaction, but what is your favorite breakfast spot without characters?

Boma.

(all right, all right. Trail's End, the Wave, and Captain's Grill are also worth checking out, depending on where you're coming from. And people love Kona.)

Buffet - Trails End, Boma, The Wave, Captains Grill

Non- buffet - Kona, The Wave (they have ala carte and buffet), WGP Express.

Boma has fairly unique foods you won't find elsewhere, POG (juice), and like pretty much everything at AKL it's a beautiful dining room.

Maybe a stupid question - but how do you recommend getting there in the morning? We'd be coming from POFQ, so FQ -> AK -> AKL? How long would that take?

If your budget allows, take a cab or Uber and save lots of time. In the past, when we have ADRs at a resort and are leaving from a different resort, we've taken cabs with great results.

So for example,a few years ago, my kids and I took a cab from YC to Poly for our morning ADR, got there very quickly, paid about $15, and beat my sister and her family (who left from Swolphin/Studios/Poly). The kids and I had plenty of time to shop at Poly while we waited on my sister (and the look on her face when I told her how quickly we made it there was hysterical). We went to MK after and took buses back to resorts that afternoon. Last year, half of our party left POR on a bus to the Studios and caught the boat to BC for our Cape May dinner. The rest of us caught a cab ($22 for our ride one way). My half of the party got to BC much quicker than the other part (15 minutes maybe?), so we had time to stroll, catch a drink, relax, etc. On the way back, the other party caught a cab too :).

So my party paid about $42 round trip, but that was split among different adults/extended family, making the cost reasonable. However, many posters say Uber is much less expensive, so that's another quicker option to get you from resort to resort with immediate family.

Call me crazy...but Sunshine Seasons is good. BC Marketplace, Captain's Grill and Garden Grove are all great.
My favorite has actually closed. Kouzzina made a mean breakfast.

We did brunch at Grand Floridian Cafe on our last trip and really enjoyed it. The food was very good and service was excellent! We got a table right by the window so we could look out on the beautiful grounds.

Trails End, We go there multiple times a trip. We also enjoyed Whispering Canyon Cafe last summer
