Favorite music from WDW?

YES! I just "discovered" this a couple of months ago and can't stop listening to it......
Actually, Andy, the song I was speaking of is the Tapestry of Nations, The Sage Of Time Prologue/Millennium Heartbeat/The Millennium Walk song, which does follow the song you linked, Promise, by Kellie Coffey. Promise is about a 4 minute song, beautiful lyrics and melody. Tapestry then follows and plays for many minutes...song is about 25 minutes, longer if looped.

Here is a link to that....

And a great video....

Silly me! Sorry about that. As with many Disney fans, ToN/D was perhaps my favorite Disney parade of all time. Had completely forgotten how great the music was though! Thanks for the links! Wish they'd bring it back but can see how it was too logistically challenging to bring it back.

I love the Innoventions area music and Epcot entrance music. It just transports me to the feeling of being in Disney parks so much! And it sounds kind of 80's/90's which I also love!

Same here!

The theme for MSEP. I've loved it since I was a little girl. My parents bought me a 45 record with the theme on it one trip down back in 80s. It's the ringtone for my phone now.

I also LOVE the music used in Spaceship Earth.

ITA!

We have AppleTV so I'll look for channels on YouTube that play Disney music and play it while I clean the house - make it less of a chore!

And I love the resort theme music. We tend to stay at CBR and I love the steel drums music in Old Port Royale and in the Custom House!:flower3:

Good point. We tend to stay at the POR and POFQ and the banjo music on the bus always takes me there! (played by The Rev Gary Davis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4f_dcGAMwfUhttp://.) Also love the Mickey March announcements they play on the bus.

Another is both the Celebrate the Magic music, as well and The Magic, The Memories and You. Great memories and me holding my little girl while watching these.

One thought - like other's here, I love the Soarin music (as I mentioned in the original post). I really, really, really hope they leave the music in the upcoming refurbishment. Any rumors regarding the music??

I totally remember it: "Fifteen years, we're having a party..." They were giving a prize every 15 seconds at the gate. My grandma really believed she would win a car. So many memories!

Hahaha yup. My brother and I were praying my folks won a return trip. So many memories of that celebration.

Two years ago we stayed at POR. The bus played Brad Paisley's "the World" so many times....every time I hear it now it reminds me of being at WDW riding the bus back to the resort. :)

Agree 100% with Dan Murphy. The music after Illuminations. I have CDs of the Tapestry music and play them occasionally in the car. But hearing the song as we're leaving World Showcase always touches me.
The other one is Jiminy Cricket singing When You Wish Upon A Star.....

There is so much, but like most, something really is special about EP music. I love just walking up to it, but of course, Illuminations takes the cake. Our symphony got to play it my last season! Its a perfect piece of music.

I also love on Pandora how the old classic Tiki room will show up or various Showcase songs. I liked it when my phone alarm was set to Electrical Parade, so cheerful to wake up to.

I enjoy cleaning and mowing to my Pandora Disney music. After months of getting ready for my (now past) Disney Magic cruise and parks trip, I still get in the Zone when Rapunzel starts singing about her chores. Let's clean the floors!

Good stuff.

Grim Grining Ghosts and all the variations of theme in HM:hmghost::hmghost::hmghost:

I too love whatever is playing at EP by Innoventions that keeps repeating that deceptive cadence and then eventually resolves to a I chord- love that moment! Does it have a name?

Also Illuminations, MSEP, Wishes, Just Keep Swimming from Nemo, all the songs from Splash Mountain, There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, the outer space noises in Space Mountain, and all of the tracks played on the buses when you are pulling up to each park.

I am listening to the music from Tapestry of Nations right now thanks to the link you posted. I LOVED this parade!!! So miss it.
The background music at the parks is what makes everything tie together so well. When I pull up something on youtube I get incredibly nostalgic about my trips and the memories made. I am such a softie anymore!! HA!

Great thread, thanks for the warm fuzzies.

How about "In The Big Blue World" from the end of the Nemo ride? When my daughter was 6 or 7 she made us ride that at least 10 times. So I definitely go back there when I hear it.

One of my best recent CD buys is the Walt Disney World Official Album.

From that, my favorites include:

  • Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life For Me)
  • Grim Grinning Ghosts
  • It's A Small World (Yes, I said it!)
  • There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow
  • Spaceship Earth
  • Soarin'
  • Canada (You're a Lifetime Journey)
  • Impressions de France
  • Golden Dream - The American Adventure

The one I especially miss is the River of Time's original music. The Three Caballeros is fun, but nothing like that wonderful older music.

Awesome topic!
I listen to Disney park music nearly everyday, and if i don't it's a bad one.

you can buy cd's etc but i thought i'll list a few great Disney music sources you can stream. in case some aren't aware

Illuminations is my fav. from preshow through post.
Wilderness lodge loop
Innoventions loop area 3 -- this is the one everyone gets stuck in their head, after a trip 7-8 years ago it took me about a month to find out what it was called and, most importantly,- where to get a copy. :thumbsup2

spectromagic is my fav from childhood- so glad we got to see it again last trip.
hint- one can make some highly unique ring & text tones with HM stuff-

We have the CD to The Festival Of The Lion King and know every word. DS dances round the house to it and is fancying becoming a 'tumble monkey' when he is older!
