The planning has started for our next Disney trip...wondering what moderate resort is the best for two teenagers and why? I just want to be sure that I am making the right decision for our family. Thank you in advance for any advice you can give!

Well my families favorite resort is French Quarter. For my 17 year old daughter she loves the boat ride to shopping at Disney Springs.

Thank you! I am leaning towards POR or POFQ so I appreciate the response! I am just hesitant about the bus situation...

We've stayed at PO FQ, CB & POR over the years and FQ is hands down our favorite.

We have stayed at POR as well. Beautiful resort but I dislike the huge number of bus stops there. FQ has one stop and I have timed my walks at FQ you can walk from the dock to the bus stop in 6 minutes so getting around is easy and if you want a TS meal POR is just a 10 minute walk away.

Thank you for your comment....it seems like POFQ is a favorite...it is honestly not one that I had ever considered before. I have some investigating to do now!

Are there particular areas of POFQ to request that would be closer to the bus stop?

I've stayed at CS, CB and PORFQ. CB would be nice for theming if your teenagers are boys as they would probably like the pirates sort of feel at the resort, specially at the pool. I personally like the CS for its beauty and its pool plus I like the Spanish ambience. Having said that the POFQ resort is beautiful as well and it has very short walks from anywhere within the resort. It doesn't matter where you stay you will end up within a 5-7 minute walk from the entrance of the resort or the boat dock.

Hope this helps and have a Magical Vacation

I’ve stayed at POR twice, the first time Alligator Bayou and second time Magnolia Bend/Acadia. I didn’t like the Acadia, we were on the 3rd floor and used the main bus stop(a walk but ok). As KenHutch said, a lot of bus stops. I won’t stay there again unless we were guaranteed Alligator Bayou. Next time we might try POFQ or one of the value resorts. It’s just 2 of us and we left the room at 8am and returned after 9pm.
