Which is your favorite moderate resort? It seems like a ton of people here like the POFQ but I want to know what your favorite is.

I have only stayed at one mod, but I have looked at the others. My vote goes to POFQ. Beautiful grounds, pretty room, compact and they have beignets!

:wave2:

CSR!! Best pool of any moderate, terrific transportation that is not shared with other reosrts and an awesome food court. Check out my CSR website below for pics, links and info

I could not choose just one. DH & I have stayed at all of the moderates and can say we liked each one with the exception of Coronado Springs. It was a lovely resort--just not our cup of tea.

Definitely CSR! IT has a great theme, the resort is beautiful & rooms are clean and comfortable. The food court and themed pool are the best! :)

I voted French Quarter. I love the flowers and the jazz music and the compact size.

I have only stayed at CBR and POR, but, have visited CSR and POFQ, and I just love CBR's theme. I love the bulding's colors, walking around the lake, sandy beaches, the whole atmosphere. So, I chose CBR. :sunny:

I really like the moderate resorts, it is difficult to pick a favorite. I think CBR is slightly in the lead because of the tropical theme and noticably larger rooms. I recently spent 2 nights at POFQ and really loved it there too. Even though it was somewhat chilly, the walk from POFQ to POR is so nice, early morning was just beautiful. Everyone was busy getting ready to go to the parks, I was just enjoying the sunny am. One week earlier I had been in WI, 14 inch snowstorm, so the green trees and river were a welcome relief. The boat on the river is nice, and we watched a little of the piano player at POR. I have stayed at CSR for only one night, didn't really enjoy it as much, but we were really far from the food court. POFQ is very compact compared to the rest, this may appeal to some families with small children. And a big plus is the refrig in the rooms, no charge.
(CBR x5, POR x3, POFQ x2, CSR x1)

Stayed twice at CBR and LOVED it! Largest rooms, romantic grounds especially at night, each "village" has its own pool plus the main themed pool, view of the high Illuminations (Epcot) fireworks from the main pool area and Trinidad North and Martinique beaches, lots of huge hammocks on soft white sand beaches, playgrounds, volleyball on the beach, the promenade around the lake is wonderful day or night, excellent new sit-down restaurant "Shutters", playground on Parrot Cay island, the pool bar has the BEST pina coladas, etc etc etc :sunny: :flower:

Check out my web site to see pics from our stays there, from 2001 and 2002. The link is below, in my signature :wave2:

We have stayed at the PORiverside (once while it was Dixie Landing) and POFQ. We really liked the compact size of FQ and the food court was excellant. We visited CS last summer and may give it a go this coming summer because we liked what we saw.

I've only stayed at POR (in Alligator Bayou), but my husband and I enjoyed it so much, that when we go back, that will definitely be our first choice for a resort. :earsgirl:

We really liked Coronado Springs when we stayed there. It was too cold to use the pool, but it looked awesome. Really liked the layout and enjoyed the resort.

I am getting the feeling that POFQ wins over POR. Does the lack of a sit down restaurant not make a difference? We are trying to decide between the two. Any help would be appreciated.........

Cannot speak of POR, but The POFQ has such a southern feel to it. Very quaint. Not to far from anywhere on the property. Buses in front, boats in back. Restaurants and pool all a quick walk out the hotel room door.It really is the perfect place. If it wasn't that I want to stay at all resorts once before going back to the same place, the POFQ would be my choice in a second. Good Luck!
