Favorite Menu item at Citricos

The gateau of crab is the best appetizer and the braised veal shank is my favorite entree

For appetizers, the arancini is wonderful as is the gateau of crab. My favorite entree is the filet, while DD and DH enjoyed the roast chicken breast. The creme brulee is a wonderful way to round off the meal.

Our kids DD14 and DS10 are turning into little foodies. This is the one restaurant they have insisted on returning to for the 3rd straight year. Can't wait for November! ::MinnieMo

I like the grouper and the short ribs. They removed my favorite appetizer, the goat cheese crostini.

The veal shank was fabulous and so were our waiters (for some reason we had two). One suggested the veal which I was skeptical about because I have never liked veal, but it was honestly one of the greatest things I have ever consumed and DH was totally bummed that although his fish was good it was nothing compared to my veal.

I always liked the veal shank there. Those short ribs are good too--but the portion seemed a bit small the last time out.

everything we got there was very good - the arancini, the duck pasta for app, the short ribs, the veal shank. I had the grouper with shell fish last time and it was SO good, my favorite of the entrees I had, but it had olives in it which I love but if my DH ordered it, he would have hated it and he was thinking of getting it too, it didn't mention it on the menu.
My favorite dessert on property is their lemon cheesecake.

The shrimp appetizer with lemon and feta was DELISH!! :cloud9: The filet was great along with the lemon cheesecake for dessert. My mouth is now WATERING!!

I had the veal shank just because I wanted to try something different... I usually order seafood or steak at restaurants. It was delicious, but I had trouble with the eating the marrow part because all I could think of was the cheap marrow bones I give to my dog to chew on.....

Can someone tell me the right way to eat the marrow part of this dish?

This sounds good too...Pan-seared Wild Striped Bass Prince Edward Island Mussels, Fregula Pasta, Tomato, Fennel, and Saffron Sauce with Olive Oil Crostini 33.00

And at the Flying Fish Cafe....Thai-LemonMyrtle-Sesame –Panko Crusted
Maryland Wild Striped Bass - Young Carrots and Bok Choy, Asian Mushrooms,
Romanesco Broccoli and Purple Snow Peas, with lightly Curried Carrot-Coconut Infusion 38.00

We are mainly going to Citrico's to satisfy my DH's veal shank craving. I often cook Osso Bucco (veal shanks) at home for a special meal.
To reply to DisneyFamily123: the marrow is one of the best parts of the dish! Back in the day, people ate marrow with marrow spoons. I don't know if Citrico's has marrow spoons, but you could ask. Failing that, I would ask for a small knife, or a small fork/spoon--maybe an oyster/seafood fork or an espresso spoon. Removing the marrow can be messy, but then it is a lot less messy than eating a whole lobster. You use whatever piece of small cutlery you have to pry the marrow out of the bone. Then you can consume the marrow cut up in bits, or you can spread it on your meat, or potatoes. It is essentially straight animal fat that has absorbed all the cooking flavors from your meat. Absolutely delicious. Depending on how messy the marrow removal has been, you may need a fingerbowl or towelettes afterwards.

Thank You! There was a small utensil, I think it had a small spoon on one end. At least I did the right thing! By scooping out some of the marrow and eating it. I probably should have asked the waiter.... I just didn't know so I guessed. It was delicious.

I LOVE the Arancini - crispy fried balls of risotto.
The Goat Cheese Truffle Salad is very yummy!

I've loved the 3 different fish entrees I've had there.

The Chocolate Banana Torte is out of this world, as is the Lemon Cheesecake.

Really, I have loved everything I've tried there in my 3 different visits. :rotfl:
