I'm curious as to what everyone would highly recommend as must have dishes for the main dining rotation. Appetizers to desserts. I understand everyone's tastes are different but looking for everyone's go to dish(es) that they get every time they cruise.

I love the Grand Marnier soufflé from Royal Court. Last cruise our server and head server arranged to have it for me on multiple nights.

Steak at BOG was so good
??? Which MDR are you referring to? I think you mixed up your restaurant names.

But to answer the original question, the pasta pursettes and beef tenderloin at AP are delicious! I loved the lamb entree at Royal Court. The escargot and fried brie are awesome appetizers. I remember those were at Lumiere's on the Magic but can't remember if they were at Enchanted Garden or Royal Court on the Fantasy. I honestly wasn't overly impressed with any of the desserts in the MDRs.

I had polenta for the first time on DCL and loved it. Other than that, I really do not feel like the MDR food was that remarkable. Now...fresh chicken fingers on deck were amazing...my partner ordered the kids' mac and cheese every night (as an extra app)

Mickey Bars are the only thing that stands out...and we sailed for 14 nights, so we pretty much got to try every menu.

Oh and they made a GF eggs Benedict that was good.

I love the pork chop in AP. Saw it featured on Food Network and had to to have it. Perfect and delicious. On our 2-night cruises to nowhere I ordered in PC because we wouldn't be dining in AP. I actually got them to bring it to me both nights.

The Black Truffle Pasta Pursertes in Animator's Palate! Sooooo good. I sometimes get a double order for my entree. I would lick the sauce from the plate if I could.

I give a third nod to the purseittes. Those things are awesome.

I always use the bread to get every last bit of the sauce!!

yup - I sow this under new posts and didn't notice the forum it was posted in!

sorry

Another vote for the Black Truffle Pasta Purseittes. They were actually the only thing I can think of that I thought was outstanding. Everything else was good, but not enough that I remember what I ate.

It's funny--I read about this dish before my last cruise and didn't understand why everyone was raving so much about some pasta appetizer. I realized why when I tried them!

I love the brie at Tritons/Lumieres for appetiser, the duck at Tritons/Lumieres for main and the apple tart tatin at Tritons/Lumieres for dessert. Although the churro sundae at Cariocas was pretty good too.

Me too!!! I have 2 every night :flower1: will be on the Wonder to Alaska on 5/23 and I'm trying to lose 15 pounds before I go. 2 Grand Marnier soufflés every night, the chocolate soufflé at Palo, and 2 Palo brunches. Maybe I should lose more than 15 pounds!

We were really surprised at how good the food was on the Fantasy, so it is hard to think of just one thing that stands out. DH is still raving about some morning glory smoothie he would have at breakfast, and the Beef Wellington at AP. The scallops at EG stand out for me, but only because I usually don't care for them and ordered them on a whim. It was our first night. I was still under the allusion that I was going to follow Weight Watchers that week (HA!!) and wanted something healthy. They and the cous cous were outstanding and set the course for the whole week (in terms of good food...not in terms of my resisting such good food:)).

Thank you for all the replies. I'm just trying to make sure we don't miss any of the top-rated items on the menu. Thanks again

I love the fresh chicken fingers remark. I did notice in Cozumel last cruise a couple of chickens walking around without theirs. Now that's fresh!

In 2013 I had a Sea Bass at Lumiere's on the Magic that I really enjoyed, but I don't know if they offer that anymore. Also, the MDR have some great salads and sandwiches at lunch.

Yes, Lumiere's still has the sea bass. I just had it a couple weeks ago.

I love the already mentioned escargot, pork chops, truffle pursettes, and the chateaubriand was amazing!
