I already ordered all 3 of mine new pgs. My ds loved the pirate cruise. We are going to the cp. and are trying to come up with some surprises they can spring on dh. They like the idea of surpising him. The only thing we have come up with is espn club. I love the pin on the pillow idea. I ordered post cards from the place where you can get gob to be sent to the kids at home from their fav. characters. Id love to hear more ideas too.

Please tell me more about sending post cards to the kids at home from their favorite characters. Who does this?? Info please!!!!!!

so far, I've printed out Disney kid's journals on cardstock.

The journal pages are filled with Disney characters. There is a link somewhere, here on DIS. I printed Princess journals for the girls. Mickey journals for the boys, and Pooh journals for the babies....I'll take them to be spiral bound. Each kid will get one, as a gift with colored pens and pencil when we arrive at the resort.

You all have such good ideas!!! :teeth:

giftsofalifetime.com does the character postcards with a message from the character. Also do several other neat things. I just ordered guest of honor badges and postcards for both my girls. I got an e-mail from giftsofalifetime that they were sent out priority mail yesterday. Will post when I get them

Would love to know more about a pressed penny book. my sons love to do that and they just seem to get thrown around the house (if they even make it home). They would love to organize them.......

I would love to know more about the boys being able to pull the sword out of the stone,- anyone have any details?
Great ideas guys!!!!!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

In addition to the new Disney PJ's I also get my kids new Disney toothbrushes. I also get them Disney coloring books and stickers for the plane-and pack some for fresh ones for the ride home.

Do you think it would be possible to punch a hole in the pressed pennies? I can't justify getting them just to take home but if I could make a key chain out of them it would be cool.

Ariel Wanna-Be,
I LOVE THAT IDEA! Got any more? :hyper:
Well, since you asked... ;)

I also take along one of those "glass markers" and some Windex wipes. After DS falls asleep, we write Disneyish messages on the mirror in front of the bed and sign them with the names of a different character each day. When DS wakes up, he finds a personalized message from his fave characters waiting for him! :wizard:

Before we head out to the parks, I clean it off the mirror with a Windex wipe so the Mousekeepers don't have an extra mess.

:cool1:
I went to giftsofalifetime.com and saw they had a gift package of a disney fat pen, autograph book, penny press book, epcot passport book with pen(kind you put on your shirt), mickey ears and a treat for $50. I have priced them out individually and this way was $13 cheaper. I have been to other web sits and their prices were a lot more. Also they had plush charactor, pen, mickie pretzels, and autograph book for $39. Had the GOH badges cheaper that I seen other places too. I just wanted to pass this along to other shopperholics. For me I don't have a Disney store in my State :sad2:

Have a great night!

I Buy a Disney Gift for everyday of our trip. The Disney Store has 30% off clearence items. I got $12 watches for under $3.00, Key chains, PJ , Beach Towels ect. We go in June so they need some of this stuff. The Disney Store boxes are flat so you can pack them in a suitcase & box them at WDW. My girls know I have a speacial secret suitcase. You can find cute stuff even in the Dollar store.

WOW-what a GREAT idea!

Not the same at all but you did make me remember----on my last trip (10/22-10/29/04) I brought Halloween window clings for the large sliding glass door out to the balcony.

Okay, I absolutely LOVE this idea. I will have to remember this for when we go next year.

I have a cd-rom w/ disney clipart on it so I make up cute litlle letters from various characters and print them out.\

I address envelopes on my computer FROM: Mickey Mouse and Friends and address one to each child. Then I take them to the post office so my kids don't see them in my outgoing mail pile.

It might say something like see on Thursday at Breakfast, etc. Even if your child says anything to the Charcters about the letter(s), they know to play along.

My kids got so excited when they got the letters. I sent one every 5-6 days for about 1 month before the trip. :wizard:

I like the idea of doing that for someone during the stay. :)

You could:
1) Get a postcard and sign it like you were the characters. (just so that the kids feel that they are welcome!)

2)Put a usefull thing that they might use on the cruse on their bedside stand so when they wake up the will be suprised! ;) ( You could put a fan, bathing suite, sun glasses, etc.)

You could always put a magnet on the back and put them on the fridge...

Other tips that I have read here are to buy glow-in-the-dark sticks. We did this last time (got them cheap on eBay) and gave our DD one in each color and had her put two on each ankle (they turned into bracelets and necklaces) so we could keep track of her in the dark and she thought that it was so cool at the nighttime activities. Boy, Epcot sure gets dark after IllumiNations and with so many people bumping around... we didn't want to lose her. :scared1:

Tinkerbelle also brought her a light up wand from the Disney Store which was a big hit and help us not to have to buy the big $$$ light up stuff in the parks. Tinkerbelle left her a surprise everynight on her bed in a Tinkerbelle gift bag that just kept getting used over and over. ;)

Also, for older kids there is a Disney Trivia book and Hidden Mickey book that you can buy at bn or amazon.
