For those who aren't big steak lovers, what do you enjoy at Le Cellier? I booked it because I figured DH would like the steak since so many people rave over it, but I don't really see anything on the menu that looks appetizing! :confused3

I enjoy a steak once in a while, but I despise anything with mushrooms! I'm wondering if I should just switch to another restaurant or keep it. DH isn't a foodie in any way, shape, or form so I know he wouldn't be upset if I canceled. He's happiest with a good burger or pizza. It's me that wants the good stuff and insists he tries it too! He usually ends up liking it, but having a steak isn't exactly a necessity for him.

So, what would you all do?

You can get the filet withouh the mushrooms - we do it all the time (DH is allergic).

My other favorite at Le Cellier is the Preztel bread! Yum! :thumbsup2

You also have to try the Cheddar Cheese Soup - it is one of the best soups that I've ever had.

On the lunch menu I really enjoy the Open-faced Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich.

The cheddar cheese soup is always good, and the pretzel bread is very good too. You can do an appetizer or two with the bread and dessert, and that would be a full meal (at least for me).

I would definitely keep the ressie. It is one of the hardest ones to get, and you might not be able to get one the next time around.

when we ate there, DD and I ordered the filet mignon glazed w/ maple BBQ sauce accompanied by cream cheese mashed potatoes. YUM!! I've had this 2 x there now!!

order the cheese soup for an appetizer to share, asking for it to be served with the pretzel bread(pay OOP if you're on basic DDP) Makes a fabulous dip for the bread.

For entree, we loved the mushroom filet, but DD had the salmon and loved that.

My favorite too - we eat there in a little over 2 weeks

Prime rib is good...but I am wondering if you are asking b/c you do not like beef at all. Sorry not able to help, but at food and wine they do a maple glazed salmon that is good and we do the the cheddar soup!

My favorite too! Unfortunatley, it was removed from the menu several months ago.:sad2:

This is what has me looking for something new! Just like Coral Reef where they took the crab legs off the menu, they took off the one thing at Le Cellier that I soooooo wanted to try!

All these menu changes are driving me crazy . . . especially when they don't seem to add anything comparable. I guess maybe I'll try the filet without the mushrooms.

in 32 days i'm getting the filet w/o mushrooms -- the bread is terrific-- and the desserts are to die for- enjoy:worship:

Drooling here! For me, this is the to-die-for steak! I am so not a steak person, but this one is sooooooo good!

I just had the Chili rubbed Pork Tenderlion and it was wonderful!!! I hadn't heard anyone give sany comments about it and the waiter said that not many people order it but that it was his favorite. It's now mine, too. It was not real spicy and the Udon noodles that came with it were served cold and were very good also!!!:goodvibes

I had the filet-DH had the New York Strip-his was much better!

I'm tempted to cancel LC. I just don't know . . . I really wanted the maple bbq filet. Nothing else on the menu sounds that great and I've read so many complaints about the tables being too close together.

47 more days to decide what to do! AHHHH!!!!

Their new chicken is FANTASTIC!!

I can't have beef right now and had to have the chicken at LeCellier in March. It was OUTSTANDING and amazing! I liked it even more than my Chicken at Jiko. :thumbsup2

The tables are close together. Our table was so close to the one next to us it was as if we were all sitting at the same table. They were nice ladies, though, and one was DIS so it worked out fine and we had an enjoyable time dining with them.
