My grandmother used to make these cookies called "Ice Box" cookies, I think. Loved 'em! Also she made a great butter cookie.

Whay is your favorite?

My grandmother used to make a peanut butter cookie, but somewhere in the recipe it calls for Bisquick....she gave the recipe to my sister, otherwise known as Betty Crocker in my family :rotfl: , and she refuses to give it to anyone. boy those are the BEST cookies EVER!!

Are the icebox cookies those with the whipped cream stacked with the chocolate cookies? It's hard to find the cookies around here now.

My favorite are chocolate chip cookies that my mother used to make. She would take them from the oven before they were fully cooked, and then the remaining heat would set them up. But they remained chewy with a little crispness.

That isn't what we called ice box cookies. The ones my G'Mom made were "drop" style cookies.

Chocolate chip. My family and all of DH's co-workers go nuts over them when I make them. It's nice to know I can do something very well. :rotfl:

Too many to name
I bake cookies every week....and always a different kind. I have found so many yummy ones.
I send them to work with DH.....they are spoiled and now expect them every week ;)

I looked around for a recipe like this but only found this one for bars:

PEANUT BUTTER BARS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated)
1 c. peanut butter
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. Bisquick
1 6-oz. pkg. (about 1 c.) semi-sweet
chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped peanuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, beat sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, egg, water, and vanilla until smooth. Add Bisquick; mix well. Stir in chips.

Favorite homemade cookie, the kind I baked tonight. Chocolate chip. :)

I like snicker surprise cookies and cowboy cookies.....

snicker surprise cookies are normal sugar type cookies with a snack sized snicker bar folded into the middle of them before they're put in the oven. Too yummy!

cowboy cookies are actually: oatmeal, chocolate chip, walnut, coconut cookies. Very good......probably too good.

I think chocolate cookies with cream in the middle are are called whoopie pies.

My favorite is a cookie made with chocolate chunks and coffee in it. Of course I don't serve these to the kids, I need the caffine, thank you very much! ;)

Snowball cookies.
Found the recipe on the back of a "Holiday" Tollhouse Morsels package back a couple of years ago.
They are really, really good!
Kind of a pain to make though.

Snickerdoodles and my great grandmas family recipe cookie...it is a soft filled cookie with a raisin/date/walnut filling...mmmmm cookies!
