Hollywood Studios, I have Backlot Express written down. We're doing Breakfast @ Hollywood & Vine for the Character meal and Dinner in DTD @ Raglan Road, so we want something quick for lunch.

Backlot Express' menu looked good. What is your favorite quick place @ Hollywood Studios?

Quick service meals in DHS aren't high on my list of all the parks, but Pizza Planet isn't too bad for a little pizza and salad, the meatball sub (adult and kids size ) looked very good a few weeks ago but the mocha cupcake (not sure of the exact name, its not on allears.net) was great if you like mocha/coffee flavored sweets!

Backlot express is good, and there are alot of various choices near the entrance to Fantasmic/Tower of Terror where you might want items from different places and enjoy them at the outdoor tables if the weather is nice.

Thanks Deborah. I'd love to do Sci Fi, but 3 sit down meals in one day, we might have be to rolled out of there. LOL!

We like the sandwiches at Starring Rolls - they are big enough to share and a plus are the amazing cupcakes for dessert! We either share a sandwich and cupcake or else save the cupcake for a snack later.

Our kids are Toy Story fans so Pizza Planet was a great choice for us. The aracade also entertained them from the heat for awhile. Oddly enough, this was the only time our family ate pizza our entire trip. Average pizza tho and we got chips instead of salad for the kids (just ask when ordering).
Starring Rolls is good too. The Butterfinger Cupcake was huge. We also ate at the H&V for lunch so a quick snack credit at Starring Rolls was quick n easy....Now I'm hungry!! Enjoy

The quick serve restaurants at HS always get bad press around here, but we were pretty happy.

One day, I enjoyed a sandwich/chips/cupcake from Starring Rolls...I dream about that red velvet cupcake to this day!

Another day we had burgers and a grilled turkey sandwich at Backlot. We really liked the burgers! Angus with big onion rings on them! The grilled sandwich was also really good! And as a bonus, they had cupcakes for dessert too! It was Xmas week, so I don't know if it was just seasonal, but we really liked them! Backlot is one of the few CS where you have unlimited refills on your beverages, too.

Keep an open mind!

I always get the fish basket with chocolate mousse at the ABC commisary. It is the exact same fish that they have at CHH @MK. I also love Disney's pizza, so if I'm in the mood for italian food we go to Pizza Planet.

Backlot Express's sandwiches are great. Last time I was there, I split a grilled vegetable sandwich which my sister, which was enormous and delicious!

Studios Catering Company has similar sandwiches, but I think the quality isn't as good, and all the seating is outside though covered.

My stand-by meal at the Studios is the Fairfax Salad at Fairfax Fare. It has chili, roasted corn, cheese, and peppers (and obviously lettuce and other stuff), and is pretty yummy. But I don't think the barbecue there would be very good.

Another vote for Starring Rolls. The sandwiches are fabulous, you can get fresh fruit rather than chips with it, and the cupcakes for dessert are AMAZING. I dream about the red velvet cupcake... ;)

HS QS is not as good as the other parks IMO. My family has mostly agreed on going to back lot for burgers. It's good but not as good as say Pecos Bills@ MK. HS is great for treats, I like are the razzberry icy drink from the candy shop & the chocolate milkshake from the dinosaur. The pickles & soft pretzels are my fav. + I hear those cupcakes are great. :goodvibes Have fun!!

Do you have any idea if that combo would be considered a meal credit on the QSDP? Sound so yummy!

Yep, absolutely. It's a counter service credit. :) Turkey sandwich, apple, large drink and a cupcake. I saved the apple for later. ;)

I can't wait to try the red velvet cupcake at Starring Rolls! How is the meatball sub at Pizza Planet? My DS (nearly 3) would love to eat there.
