favorite Hidden Gem?

Turf Club at SSR! Great steaks, desserts, service. Always can get an ADR - I guess it's still undiscovered! Oh, wait....never mind :smooth::smooth:

Blabbermouths. :hyper2: :P You know what happens when you tell everybody and their Aunt Sally where the hidden gems are? They're no longer hidden and your quiet little restaurant suddenly has availability problems and becomes crowded and noisy. That happened to the last couple of hidden gems we knew of. Someone told 2 friends, then they told 2 friends, and so on and so on... Fair warning.

There was a little spot while everyone was waiting for Fantasmic (I think it was that one) and I stopped in and got funnel cake! Watched the show on a private-ish porch while munching funnel cakes. I was also the only one in line since everyone else was waiting for the show!
I don't know why, but cashiers at WDW seem to be consistently slow as molasses. Even at unexpected places like an ears shoppe where we were next in line,. The customer had 3 things and our wait was 20+ minutes, I just don't understand. And at world of Disney... Whoa nelly! Bring a book!

How did you watch Fantasmic from a porch? The show is inside an amphitheatre.

Ok. It was not Fantasmic then. Lol
I am not a Disney fanatic, please forgive me.
It was at night, at MK, in December, open air , and had projections in the sky of lady and the tramp etc

That's funny you brought this up as I was looking at some restaurants so we can budget for next years trip. I was looking at pictures of the fried chicken last night and my mouth was watering. Lol. Anyway we ate there on our last trip and enjoyed it, a little more reasonable price wise as compared to other places and if you have a craving for fried chicken it is pretty good. I am planning on putting this one on my list for the next trip. I also enjoy Columbia Harbor House in MK, love the fried shrimp platter and atmosphere.

I'll echo what the first few posters said about Trails End! We booked it for the first time last summer & are addicted!!! Large variety of food & it's yummy! I posted pics on another thread that someone was asking about it. We ate their for dinner & b fast last summer, both were impressive. This year we booked dinner twice and b fast once. So excited. Plus I just love the atmosphere there. We also see Hoop dee doo there. It's just so fun to stroll around. This year we might even relax in the rocking chairs outside :)

At first I thought she was talking about DLR because there are plenty of lil porches you can duck into/ onto, & there also is an awesome place to get beignets/ funnel cakes & stuff right there....Their fantasmic is way different than ours...... Ours. Like it's mine..

Olivia's at Old Key West. Such good food.
Pork Chop outstanding, bacon cheeseburger, one of the best! Conch fritters and key lime pie!

Their prime rib is always good!
I think Rose & Crown is very underrated.
Bangers & mash, side of mushy peas with a view of the fire works, can't beat it!

A quick tasty treat, MK Golden Outpost, waffle fries with brown gravy and cheddar cheese! Yum, reminds me of my college days!

Or your favorite restaurant gets shut down because no one but you knows about it! ;)

For QS, our favorite less discussed restaurant last year was Boardwalk Bakery. Their lobster roll is awesome and the desserts are really good. Plus there are some unique choices that I don't see in other QS locations. We chose to walk from HS since there was nothing there that appealed to us. Best decision.

Restaurant Marrakesh. We were able to eat dinner there on our last trip without having a reservation. It was not overly crowded, the restaurant itself is beautiful, and the belly dancer was fun to watch. The food was also amazing, one of the best meals I've ever had! My entrée was the lamb shank and we had baklava for dessert. The mint tea is very refreshing. My whole family still talks about this meal, 3 years later.
