What are your favorite healthy snack and meal options while at WDW?

I am totally of the mindset that that I don't count calories or get obsessed about being "healthy" while I'm on vacation BUT sometimes I get so full on sugar snacks and heavy meals that I find myself crashing midway through the trip.

What are your go-to snacks and meals on property that give you a little healthy energy boost and keep you feeling like you haven't gone totally off the rails? I want to try as many on my upcoming trip as possible!

Most of the time we are eating at Epcot, here are some of our go-to items:

Sunshine Seasons has grilled salmon with green beans. There are also a lot of other things there, sandwiches, wraps, etc.
Katsura Grill has Teriyaki Chicken, Sushi, etc. You could find a few things here that not fried.
Morocco has some meals as well that are not fried.
Liberty Inn has a vegetarian sandwich.

You can usually substitute fries for apple slices or veggies.

Try a snow cone from Japan at the Kakigori stand, they are really great on a hot day.

If you are at a sit down place, you can usually find a salad or grilled protein.

Hummus and veggies are available at some of the fruit stand type kiosks. Mr Kamal's at AK has it for sure.

Tangierine Cafe is an old standby and the menu ai Satu'li (AK) looks promising.

Does the pineapple in a dole whip constitute as fruit? :-)

I can't recall its name, but there is a stand in liberty square that has healthy snacks. Everything from fruit and veggies to backed potatoes.

Turkey leg for long term energy, giant pickle to replenish your salt.

I wish turkey leg = healthy! There are over 1000 calories and 54 grams of fat in those things!

I love the veg. chili at Columbia Harbor house, grape packets at the quick service locations, fresh fruits from the carts, and the salmon options at many quick service locations.
A friend and I once split the half chicken from Cosmic Ray's and we both enjoyed that.
Good luck OP
Its not too hard to find a healthy option. The hard part is turning down the siren call of the junk food!

Hahaha! I sometimes forget that my definition of healthy (high fat, high protein, low carb is how I lose weight and feel great) isn't the same as other people ;) I would eat a turkey leg for both breakfast and lunch, snack on a pickle, and then eat a salad with lots of fatty dressing, veggies, and maybe some salmon for dinner.

We enjoy a breakfast at Fresh in the Dolphin. You get yogurt, fresh whole fruit, pastries, oatmeal, and freshly prepared mixed vegetable juices as an all you can eat continental or add hot dishes to have a full buffet breakfast. The three juice blends are very good healthy 'shots'. I like to go at least once a trip.

Cobb salad at Hollywood Brown Derby lounge.
Caramel peanut apple or cinnamon sugar roasted almonds for a sweet snack.
Edamame or hummus or fruit from carts in AK.
Veggie lo mein at Yak and Yeti (TS).
Rice and beans at Pecos Bill (with yummy toppings)
Create your own salads at food courts.
I usually bring a piece of fruit or a Kind bar from my room to supplement my Starbucks beverage for breakfast.
I second the vegetarian chili and salmon with broccoli and cous cous at Columbia Harbor House.
Tons of QS options at EP - Tangierine cafe is our fave
Fresh pineapple spears at the place that sells the Dole Whips (I actually prefer the fruit).
Side of mashed potatoes and green beans at Cosmic Rays (they are usually served w/ rotisserie chicken - which I don't eat, but together this would be a healthier QS meal option than typical burgers and fries).

I'm of the opinion all the time that portion control is the most important thing, so I just rarely, rarely order an entree, but if something looks too delicious, I'm ok with some of it going to waste. I'm NOT a member, a fan, or any of that nonsense involving a clean plate. Nothing wrong with an app and salad for a meal, or just an app.

Spice Road Table has a lot of healthy options, the veg platter at Tangerine is amazing and WAY too much food for even 2 people. Sushi is a good choice if you just nix the cream cheese/mayo. Bluezoo/FF/CG all have a number of raw prep type apps that should be pretty balanced.

Harambe market has some decent choices.
Dole Whips don't have a ton of calories if you're in the market for a snack.

If it wasn't for the occassional fish and chips at Yorkshire, I'm not sure I've eaten, nor wanted to, a french fry at WDW in a decade. Its easy to eat healthy and delicious food at WDW.

Me too. Many people I interact with don't understand how "that's possible". But I feel the absolute best when I'm following a ketogenic/ lowcarb/healthy fat diet. Only took 15 years of literally every other kind of "diet" to figure it out. Although, I couldn't finish a whole turkey leg on my own, about a third and I'm done

Right? Fat adapted is a good place to be :) I would eat it all day. Seriously, cold turkey is goooood! I've lost 26 pounds in 3 months eating fat.
Anyway! I am having a lot of fun perusing WDW menus and picking out the places that will best suit our family dietary needs.

These days DH and I have the whole geezer thing going on and my cardiologist has very definite ideas about what I should and should not be eating. For me "healthy"= low salt, lower sat/trans fats, avoiding refined carbs (especially sugar) and staying away from anything overly processed. Sucks to be me come lunchtime.

Personally, healthy also means I don't leave the restaurant feeling like I had a bowling ball for lunch.
