Favorite Guilty Pleasure on DCL

Guilty pleasure was the Caramel Lattes at Cove Cafe. They were SO good and huge. I can't let myself do that very often.
Omg the lattes there were so good! I love how the put a Mickey head on it. Loved having them while relaxing at our verandah or walking around.

I actually thought the announcement was made at dinner... :rotfl2:
That's what I thought! LOL
Hmmm joining this will be tricky as we are having our verandahs connected. I really don't want my brother, sil, nephews, niece or dad surprising us.

I am actually looking forward to the Greek yogurt with various toppings at breakfast at Cabana's!

Are you asking what the verandah club is? Merely staying in a verandah cabin does not make you a member, if that is what you were thinking.

I think she knows. She made comment about it being tricky with multiple family members nearby.

But she did say.... What Wait?

Overall favorite thing; turning off my iPhone and disconnecting from the world and connecting with my wife and kids for a week.

Favorite foods:

Breakfast - Corned Beef Hash

Lunch - Tie for Bacon Cheeseburger from the MDR and peel and eat shrimp from Cabanas

Dinner - load me up with a few orders of the Pasta Purseittes in Animators!

The lack of cell service is what makes my family the happiest.

What are these cakes I keep seeing referenced? How could there be pastries which I don't know about? Info, please?

Omg! You don't know above the Cove goodies? Ok, so you must go to the coffee shop as there are always yummy treats available ALL DAY LONG!

Fun thread! Here are my picks -

1 - Cabana massage on Castaway Cay.
2 - Crème Brule. I mentioned to our server how much I loved it and they brought be two every night!
3 - Root Beer floats. This only works if you drive in or stay somewhere beforehand because you have to bring your own root beer onboard. Some of the cast members had never even seen a root beer float. So, so yummy. Now I want one. I wonder if there is any root beer in the fridge...

I have multiple food allergies which sometimes means them making something special, so the following may or may not be available generally:

On the Fantasy, they made us the most amazing sourdough bread rolls. We loved them so much after the first night (when they ran out!) our waiter ensured we had plenty each night. A heaping basket with refill if needed. And we ate all of them ! :-) Probably way too much bread for a person to eat, but it was soooo good. It is rare I get decent bread when traveling (becasue most bread has milk in it, so I end up with gluten free bread that is also dairy free, which well, if you have had GF bread you understand it usually is not the greatest...).

We order the butternut squash and french onion soups on multiple nights. Because we order dinner the night before, it is easy for them to make it for us even if it is not on that night's restaurant's menu.

I like Mickey waffles for breakfast. Again, waffles/pancakes are usually a challenge due to milk, so having safe ones is a great and yummy treat.

Finally, on the Fantasy the chef at the pizza QS on the pool deck was able to make me a very nice pepperoni pizza (Udi crust, sauce, tofutti fake cheese); I got it a couple times. On the Dream the pizza they made me was good but not as good as the one I remembered from the Fantasy. Regardless, having *pizza made for me* is a wonderful experience and I really look forward to that. Most normal restaurants it is not an option. Now my sister can have their normal pizza and would often grab a slice as a quick snack [particularly good to help tide one over until later dinner].

It's so hard to pick any one thing, but I have to agree that one of the things I enjoy most is what other have already said - turn off the electronics and remember what it was like as a kid before cell phones were attached to everyone's hands. I am so much more relaxed with not having to worry about watching for messages or trying to keep p with everybody online. It really gives you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in your vacation!

Like so many have said, the whole cruise qualifies!! That said..

No phones or internet - really being anywhere without one member of the group staring at their phone!
The Verandah Club
The many tastings - especially mixology!
My wife and I sitting on the balcony at the Meridian enjoying a pre-Palo martini.
The couples massage at Senses.
Oh yeah.... and stuff with the kids! :)

We're cruising in 5 days!!!! This will be our second cruise, but some of my favs from our first :
-Chicken fingers
-playing disney trivia and winning mickey medals
-warm chocolate chip cookies and milk from room service
-castaway cay!!!

Toddler time and walking around with the stroller during evening funnel vision watching some silly movie like My Brother Bear, having a dough naught with breakfast, patting that Donald Duck statue in the front lobby when you board (seems like many people do this for some reason), putting decorations on our cabin door.

I would call none of mine a "guilty" pleasure as I fully embrace them each one. That being said, here's a quick list:
- Osso buco at Palo
- Chocolate souffle at Palo
- Everything at Remy, especially if you go the very first night of the cruise when it's less crowded.
- Cocktail tasting/mixing class in Skyline
- Couples spa package--yes, it's private ;)
- Verandahs :cool2:
- Late day drink specials, especially on Castaway Cay when they're often 1/2 priced

seeing characters. I may be almost 21 but I still love seeing them. The longest I had to wait for a character of all 6 of my cruises was Olaf. I had to wait an hour and a half for him.
