What is everyone's favorite "guilty pleasure" attraction at WDW? I define such an attraction as one that most everyone else thinks is lame or outdated or maybe the one that the rest of your family groans at whenever you want to experiene it. Examples: Carousel of Progress, Honey I Shrunk The Audience, Backlot Tram Tour, etc.

Mine has to be Living With The Land. It's just so cool and relaxing in there, especially at night.

Thoughts?

I love Carousel of Progress - the catchy tune (my kids groan), the lame animatronics, even the dog! What I love the most is the end scene where the grandma is playing the video game and when the grandson asks if she wants to play again she says something like, "Later kid"...so rude sounding but always makes me smile!

I think I'm the only person on these boards that really likes Sounds Dangerous. I also really enjoy Ellen's Energy Adventure and Living with the Land.

I actually love Primeval Whirl. I know most people call it Primeval Hurl, but I like it. Unfortunately I will not be able to ride this trip because it is in rehab. HaHa

I also like Carousel of Progress. Hokey, but cute.

Honestly mine is Stitch. While I'm not a fan of the chili dog burp I think the preshow is pretty funny and the Stitch animatronic is absolutely amazing!

If living with the land is in that category, count me in, also maelstrom. But, I think Living with the Land is actually one of Disney's better attractions and cant really date itself, yet. If anything its more relevant now than in the past. I really do like the fact that even though they probably dont do anything with it now, they did have to employ something that lives and get them to grow and be different than they normally are. Very cool.

The Pinochio dark ride is one I'd definately say most dont really like, but I love, partly because its so dark, and not dim lighted, but it actually has pretty extreme ups and downs. Same reason I like Toads, but I actually like this more I think.

Ok, maybe I'm way out of the loop, Pinochio dark ride, where is this?

My guilty pleasure ride has to be iasw. That ride to me is Disney. I try to make it a point for that to be the first or very near the first ride we go on when we visit WDW.

The only one that my family ever groans on is It's a Small World. I can't help it- it's a classic! Walt made it and it's a beautiful presentation of how we're all united.

Ahem, now that the cheesiness is out there- I'd like to say that my family loves the TTA, The Carousel of Progress, and Hall of Presidents.

Mine def TTa nd IASW...Dh wouldn't let me ride it this last trip, so i booked bounceback so I could ride it net year!:lmao:

I love all of the "lame/cheesy" rides, even It's a Small World...I just can't help it!!:)

For me, my 'guilty pleasure' attraction is :) :) Splash Mountain :) :) . Even though it definitely not lame/cheesy/outdated, I like to experience it lots & lots of times. (hint, look at my signature).

I wouldn't consider TTA a guilty pleasure attraction, but if we are adding it in that category than I should put it down as well. It's one of my favorite rest spots and I'm always suprised at how few people actually ride it.

I have to say C of P and IASW....because I rode them at the New York Worlds Fair in 1963!!! Those were REALLY advanced technology in their day! Also Living with the Land. Actually, the only ride I pass up no matter how short the line is Stitch. I'll ride anything else with a short line.

Until a couple years ago, we never knew how you could get on that ride.

:confused3

:lmao:

I LOVE THE CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS :thumbsup2
I could sit there and watch it over and over again.

Thank you. I wondered if that might be the case. I think we missed that on our trip there a few years ago.

Ahh thats too bad one of the GREAT rides. It may even be one of the oldest, im not sure though. Next time if you go again, give it a shot. WDW's fantasy land always feels so empty in comparison for me without all the rides at DL.

I think TTA would definately have to be a "guilty pleasure" ride. Not a lot of people clambering for it. I enjoy it too.
