I'll bring beer. What time?

Why do I have this image of monkeyboy (even though I don't know what he looks like) at my front door every Sunday in November with beer in his hand, demanding bacon? ;)

I'll vote for that one. (Since you paid me to post this. ;) )

Mmmmmm..............
You made me hungry for an old bacon favorite!

Dip bacon slice in beaten egg, then in cracker crumbs. Bake until lightly browned, turning half way.

Cheap bacon usually turns out better because it's greasier. ;)
Either cruch up saltines (reg. salty ones) really really fine yourself, or buy them already done.
Sorry can't remember the temp or how long it takes. Probably somewhere around 325 or 350. And I didn't time them, I just flipped them when the bottom started to brown, then cook them a few minutes longer to finish the other side.

These are really really good. But be careful, we usually eat to many, then end up feeling sick from all the grease!!
But hey, that's what bacon's all about, right?!! :p

ok, I'll look for a cute boy with beer at my front door. I won't turn that away! ;)

You really need to think about who will be attending. When we entertain packer fans for VIKING/packer games, we like to make sure we have plenty of CROW for the cheeseheads to eat:teeth:!

IMGONNABE40, did you say you "have to" be in Minnesota in November? Don't you mean you "get to" be in Minnesota in November?!?!?

Crow! I'll have to put that on the menu!

Wings...Beer...Pizza....Wings....Beer...Pizza...Wings...and Did I mention Beer or Pizza?

On occasion I get ambitious and grill steaks or BBQ hotdogs and burgers for my football pals....I am so ready for football....Go Rams!

Jungle Josh:tongue:

Yes! Of course manchurianbrownbear! I get to be in Minnesota in November. (Actually I was hoping for an invite to the party...maybe I will have to say that I am with monkeyboy! I have a great tip for him about cooking bacon in a hotel room ;) ).

corn chowda

by the way does anyone get t.v. guide. I noticed a handsome QB on my cover today.

IMGONNABE40 - Thanks for the tips. Yes, I will keep diet in mind. We know everyone well so I'll sit down and think about who might be on low carb diets. I know I could have one vegetarian if she is able to make it so I'll have to keep that in mind. I always cook low fat as much as I can, ie. using fat free items where I can so I should be ok with the dieting crew. Enjoy Minnesota in Nov., hopefully we'll have decent weather for you!

OCM - I was thinking about making the sandwiches myself. Either getting them already to go and then broiling them at the last moment or making them a little ahead of time and wrapping them in foil to keep warm.

this was my thought -

sandwiches
pasta salad
one other type of dish - potatoe, salad, veggie - maybe something with bacon ;)
veggie tray

then plenty of football snacks -

chips salsa or dip
cookies / brownies
peanuts
maybe a cheesecake or some other type of dessert too

then all the usual beverages

My MIL and Mom will be there so I know they will help me keep food stocked if I'm away from the kitchen for a bit.

That sounds like a good menu to me. Maybe have a meat/cheese tray with different types of bread/rolls and they could make their own sandwiches. Would cut down your kitchen time and give you more football time, which is always good. I hate when my husband wants me to cook during half time!
