Favorite extinct WDW attraction

Remember the old Arts and Paints walk through at HWS? It had Walter Cronkite and Robin Williams when HWS was a working studio. That was pretty awesome.

My Dad misses the Skyway. Every time we go he says "That's where the sky way was."

Ooh, I agree! I still think the old entrance building is absolutely beautiful to walk past. It's such a shame it's being wasted as stroller parking.

Alien Encounter was the the best ride EVER! I'm in the extreme minority in my family in that opinion, but it was! The Stitch thing is an abomination.

Did you happen to ride AI when it FIRST opened before guests complained and they dumbed it down? You would of peed your pants. It was absolutely incredible.

Yes! we saw it the first weeks it was open and when we went back we all noticed it was not the same. I, too, loved Alien Encounter and I also liked Tim Curry and Jeffrey Jones in the Opening segments.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
If You Had Wings
the ORIGINAL Tiki Birds

HS: wasn't there a monster sound effects show? of am i getting that confused with something originally at Universal. we visited both when they opened. Universal--almost everything was broken and we got our money back.

my family didn't go to Epcot much when i was younger, so i missed a lot of the original rides. i do remember the original Figment and it was SO much better than what they have now.

Wonders of Life Pavillion - I never got to see Body Wars or Cranium Command.

Penny Arcade - that was my favorite thing as a kid, I loved those old games.

Horizons, Mission to Mars, If You Had Wings, Pocahontas Show, original Tiki Birds and of course Mr Toad.

I miss Body Wars and the original Backlot Tour. I only got to do Body Wars once, so I'd love to do it again.

Tough... I can't say which ONE was my Favorite.

I miss 20k Leagues, Mr Toad, Alien Encounter (It's my Mother in law!), The Time Keeper, the Journey Pavilion (Ride, Imageworks, etc. It's a shadow of it's former self), The Original Living Sea's preshow. (You know... an actual show with theaming before you hopped on the omnimovers to see the aquarium. though I still find it amusing that if you look in the aquarium you can see the sea-station theaming on the omnimover tunnel).

Cranium Command... (Used to be one of my favorites in EPCOT.)

The Odyssey (ok, not a ride... but I enjoyed eating there)

Horizons and World of Motion.

Cronkite SSE

The classic (Original) Backlot tour.

I'm sure I'm forgetting something..... :rotfl2:

I used to love the Monster Sound show. I have always been a Martin Short fan though. I remember when we went to Sounds Dangerous for the first time I so missed the old show.

.

I miss the Disney movie house. Now it's a gift shop.

.

I KNOW! I miss it too. I was telling hubby when we were there in January that they showed Steamboat Willie and the old shows and he sad he never saw it. My son loves "old Mickey" & he would have loved seeing it too.
