After just having a discussion of WDW and DL I was windering what is your favorite extinct attraction? I'm sure this was probably covered at some other post but here it is again.

I loved Mr. Toad's wild ride and always have missed it. We love to watch our old VHS tapes of the rides from early 80's and on. I like Winnie the Pooh but Mr. Toad has a special spot in my heart.

and you?

I havn't been around long enough for alot of extict attractions (first visit 2001) but I did dearly love Tarzan Rocks and miss it. Nemo doesn't even come close to providing the level of entertainment TR offered.

I have to agree with Mr.Toad being my favorite extinct attraction.

For Shows it's a toss up between Tarzan Rocks & the Hunchback show that they had at the Studios.

From what I remember when I was a kid, I would like to ride 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea again. I think if I rode it today I would be VERY disappointed, but it is one of the few rides I remember really enjoying when I was a kid.

I remember Mr Toads wild ride too. I remember the horn at the end scaring the bejesus out of me and crying in my mothers lap.

Now I cry in my wife's lap during Stitch's Great Escape :scared1:

Oh, and the original Backlot Tour was fantastic.

Journey Into Imagination, for sure. Mr. Toad is a close second, but I miss the original Figment ride.

The tunnel of color(whatever it was called) upstairs above the figment ride.

Could not agree more!! Tarzan was such a great, high-energy show. The band was super talented. Nemo usually puts me to sleep.

I also dearly miss the Hunchback of Notre Dame show at the Studios. The guy who played Quasimodo had an amazing voice.

Skyride for sure. I really thought Tarzan rocks was the most disjointed, ridiculous show ever at WDW, I really thought it was terrible. I can't believe so many people were into it. I think Nemo is a million times better.

The Millionaire show was fun, especially when my dh came within 2 questions of a cruise.

I will SORELY miss Star Tours to Endor when it closes. May lament that one for many years to come.

I loved 20.000 Leagues. Disney should never have closed it, They chould have re-themed it right away...I would lhave still LOVED IT!. I also adored Mr. Toad!! So cheesy and so FUN!:thumbsup2

For me, either Mr. Toad's Wild Ride or If You Had Wings.

I miss the old Enchanted Tiki Room.

I remember and miss Mission to the Moon (that's before Mission to Mars and Stitch). I really felt like I was taking off. Okay, I was four, but I loved it.

I miss the Disney movie house. Now it's a gift shop.

I miss Body Wars

I WISH they had the Indiana Jones ride. I miss that from DL.

I agree the original backlot tour was so much better. It seems so short now, with the only interestign thing being catastrophe canyon. I miss the old one.

I also loved tarzan rocks...what a great show. Nemo is cute but Tarzan was awesome

I forgot all about Horizons! I loved that as a kid, especially the end when you chose your own ending. I also liked The World of Motion when i was a child.

I also agree with the old journey into your imagination. The new one is nice but it will never be the original.

Aww, such good memories this post brings up.:flower3:

Tarzan for sure, it definitely had the best eye candy in WDW. I remember Jane being so attractive it was almost embarrassing to watch it with my kids. (Tarzan was no slouch for the ladies either I would guess) the rest of the show was awesome and fun, and I'm bummed we won't see it this trip.

Alien Encounter was the the best ride EVER! I'm in the extreme minority in my family in that opinion, but it was! The Stitch thing is an abomination.

Until recently I would have mentioned Captain EO, but that's back. I'm not much of a MJ fan, but I did think the 3-d movie was good for it's time.

It's between:

If you had Wings
20,000 Leagues
World of Motion

Mr Toad was ok but the above were my favorites, of those that are gone. I know the World of Motion was kinda lame but it was fun too.

If you had wings, had wings, had wings....

This thread would be a better fit on the theme parks community board, so I'm going to move it there now.
