I have alot of Table Service planned and I am predicting a revolt from my kids a little into our trip regarding all the sit down meals.

I wanted to be prepared for an alternate if my DS's want to skip the ADR and grab something for lunch.

Would it be worth it to take the water launches to the boardwalk area for lunch? or is that way too much of a hassle?

It's not a hassle at all to get to the boardwalk area for lunch. You can take the boat or you can just walk there it's really only about at a 10 min walk. I highly recommend Beaches and Cream! As far as CS in WS I loved the Tangerine Cafe in Moracco. I also always enjoy eating at the Cantina de San Angel.

It's not a big hassle at all, and an easy walk if you don't want to wait on the boat.

At Epcot, my fave is Tangerine Cafe in Morroco. The bakery in France has incredible items as well. Yorkshires has decent fish and chips, China is comparable to mall food court Chinese, as is Japan's counter (though it's airconditioned so it gets extra points!). Cantina is a step lower than Taco Bell - think canned cheese and greasy "beef". We didn't have tummy room left to try Germany this time around - well, we had room for beer and pretzels only ;)

Second the Tangerine Cafe for a counter service meal at Epcot. It's almost as good as a meal at Marrakesh.

Thanks soooooo much for the input!

Had no idea the Tangerine Cafe was so popular. I will def. try it! At least for me if the kids have to do the burgers and fries dance. I can't handle that 2 days in a row. Nevermind day after day!

Fountainview bakery has also been marked down! I'm guessing they don't get counted as 'snacks' under the dining plan?

We love the fish and chips from Yorkshire Fish Co.! Also, the sandwiches at the American pavillion were very good! :Pinkbounc

The Brats in Germany are yummy!

(Beaches and Cream is at YC/BC, by the way, not the Boardwalk, as the post above makes it seem. And that's an even easier walk from the IG. And I've heard nothing but great things about it, though I've never had the chance to eat there.)

My grandma and I love Yakitori House in Japan and my other relatives love the Cantina in Mexico. We also like to snack from the bakeries at Norway and France (always seem to miss the one in Italy).

Oops, it was Yakitori house, not teppanyaki. Evidently haven't had enough tea running through my veins yet. It's *really* good.

I've never tried the tangierine (sp? again, need tea) cafe either, that's on our must do list for this fall!

Another vote for Cantina San Angel in Mexico. Good food, and good beer ;)

Thanks for all your responses. I have an alternate plan should the kids not want to sit down at Le Cellier.

I must say I'll be pretty bummed to miss that restaurant, but at least we'll have good food anyway. :wizard:

We love Tangieriene. We have also had good luck at the Cantina de San Angel as well. We have also had decent luck at Electric Umbrella.

Beaches and Cream is NOT counter anymore.

Le Cellier has the burger and fries routine at lunch. You can do that, your kids will be happy and you'll get the enjoy the restaurant. My picky husband says "I love that joint" so it's a do-not-miss for us.

We loved the Tangerine Cafe...we went there one night because we wanted something different and had a great meal, great service...we are thinking of trying Marakesh this time because it was so good.
