I have great difficulty deciding now, just as I also do when it comes time to book a vacation! Decisions, decisions, and not a bad one in the bunch, lucky for us!
I think "best resort" depends on ages, stages, lifestyle... so many factors! Fortunately, there are enough resorts to accomodate nearly every preference.
We own at BWV, but to be honest, could never tear ourselves away from OKW for the longest time. We feared that with BWV (and 3 very very young children) the noise would deter from a good night's rest. (Plus, we always get a 2BR and bring more family along, so the extra space and 2 queen beds is nice!) HOWEVER -- once we saw VWL, DH and I looked at each other and said, "we GOTTA try THIS!" We booked a 9 day stay and LOVED IT. It was August and hotter than you know what, but VWL kept us "cool" at heart. And when the afternoon rains would come and I'd be nestled in our 2BR overlooking the bay, forest and pool as our 2 yr old napped, I felt like I was being treated to a secret retreat that the rest of my crew (still off at the parks) were missing! Our 2 br @ VWL had enough space for our 5 plus my BIL, SIL and their 3 yr old. And the pool had a modest slide, readily navigateable (if that's a word) by our 2 eldest sons, ages 6 and 7.
THat being said, OKW is now probably off our "play-list" for awhile. My eldest thrill-seeker now says its pools are "lame" (the no-slide issue!) Plus, while I'm sure we'll still visit MK, the family overall preference is decidedly Epcot and MGM. Obviously, we'll have to break free yet again and try our home resort or BCV on this next trip!
