I will be leaving in 8 days and will be there for a 2 week long visit. 4 of those days will be solo. What are your favorite slower paced/off the beaten path things to do in WDW? Those 4 days especially I will not be going on as many rides and hoping for some ideas!

- I do have a spa treatment booked:cheer2:
- I have 4 backstage tours booked (marceline to magic, keys 2 the kingdom, behind the seeds, and backstage safari), it's just the rest of the day I'm trying to find some interesting things to do!

Can't wait to read your ideas! Thank you!

We really loved our Pirate's and Pals Cruise. We also like going to a movie at DTD. The theater is so much nicer than we have back home and the matinee prices are really inexpensive.

My family loves the waterparks.

I like just hanging around the resort, or better yet, visiting another resort.:goodvibes

I like to wander around the gift shops...also to take your time at the countries in Epcot...and ak as well. Have fun! :goodvibes

Sitting on a boardwalk bench, enjoying my morning coffee and breakfast while reading the news on my ipad.

Wander, stroll, people watch, really take in the details that you normally rush by: the countries at Epcot and the animal and Tree of Life trails can absorb me for hours on end.

Visit other resorts and have a snack or beverage at each one.

Resort exploring and enjoying a drink. We enjoy exploring the EPCOT resorts and monorail resorts as we don't rent a car at WDW.

Illuminations cruise was amazing!

You already have tours booked, loved the Backstage Magic tour!!

Waterparks in the AM and setting up a good spot in the shade

Last December we were lucky enough to spend over two weeks at WDW and had many "downtime" days. On several of them, we hung around the resort (CSR), the pool, the pool side cabana, the drinks, snacks, and then maybe a non-park TSR in the evening.

It was actually the first time we have ever hung around the resort, and found it to be very enjoyable.

Go to WL and hit the trails on a bike, check out the ranch and cabins. Take a bus to a resort you haven't been to before that is off the beaten trail.

Agree with PP Monorail resort hopping. Have a drink at each ("a drink around the lagoon")...same thing goes for EC..."a drink around the world" ... check out S&D. Mini golf.

Too many options.

Take a boat or bus to Fort Wilderness, sit in a rocking chair on the porch at Crockett's Tavern.

I am a huge advocate for Downtown Disney and Disney's boardwalk. They are relatively relaxed during the day (compared to the parks) and you can still experience the Disney Magic. I love DTD, it offers you many dining options, you can shop there, or just take a seat on a bench and watch the Marina. Additionally, the Boardwalk is a very nice relaxing place to just hang out. You can take the water launch around Crescent Lake or take a seat on a bench etc. If you have the time another fun thing to do is resort hop. I love to just hop on a bus (or a water launch, or the monorail) and just explore some of the resorts. They each have their own theme, their own restaurants, their own charm. I like to just take a relaxing day and check them out.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is a fun one to visit, even though it does take time to get a bus from DTD or a park. I would eat at Boma while you are there, too!
