Hey everyone--

Looking for breakfast suggestions. We have one character bkfst scheduled, but no breakfast plans for the other mornings. We are staying at the Disneyland Hotel.

What are everyone's favorite DLR breakfast choices? Be as detailed as possible...(i.e. where, what, how much, etc.)

I'm trying to decide if I should pack bagels in my suitcase LOL! :lmao:

Carnation Cafe on main street is great! Afforadable and their food is yummy. It's around $8 per person. I go there every trip!

Carnation on main street is good. We can feed our family of 4 with a tip for under $40.

Riverbell is good for counter service- they have Mickey pancakes. Its about $6-7 each.

I've heard great things about steakhouse 55 at the DLH, but have not tried it yet.

White water snacks at the GCH gets great reviews. I havent tried it for breakfast.

Our favourite places for breakfast:

- Tomorrowland Terrace. Big portions. We usually split 3 plates for the 4 of us. DH likes the Sunrise breakfast, DD11 likes the Croissant breakfast sandwich, DD8 likes the French toast sticks. I eat everything off their plates:thumbsup2 ~ $28-$30.

- La Brea Bakery Cafe in DTD. ~ $20 for the 4 of us.

- Mimi's Cafe (across the street from DLR). Huge menu, big portions, OK food. ~ $25-$30 for the 4 of us.

I also factor in the cost of a large coffee for DH, tea for me, and 2 milks for the DDs.

Throwing in a vote for the breakfast burrito at Whitewater Snacks inside the Grand! It tastes awesome, it is huge and it's only $4.99 and comes with the biggest freshest strawberries ever!!!

They also have a breakfast sandwich for $4.99 and french toast sticks for only $3.99. We hit it a few times each trip, but I know you laughed about packing bagels, but we do take cereal and bowls and we eat about half our breakfasts in our room. Saves valuable morning park time too!

I know I laughed at the bagels...but I'm serious! I'm packing snack food...why not breakfast food? Then we'll just need milk & juice.

We have two favorite breakfast places.

#1 is the Rainforest Cafe! Warning though, they give you a TON of food so you can easily share!

#2 is LaBrea Bakery. They have bagels, pastries, quiche, fresh fruit, granola, etc... Yummy and their prices aren't bad.

All of these suggestions are great and are making me hungry!

we enjoy breakfast at Riverbelle. we like the fact that it is where Walt used to eat on sunday mornings. we had mickey pancakes, a HUGE fruit plate and a plate with eggs, bacon and potatoes. plus, it was nice to sit outside and look at the river.:goodvibes

There's something about a coffee and pastry from the train cafe just inside California Adventure.

ok i have a question about the mickey pancakes at riverbelle terrace. from the pictures i've seen it looks like you only get one mickey pancake and it costs about $5.50. Is that true? It seems kinda high and I don't know that one pancake would fill me up.

We like the character breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen. There's a good selection of food, some of which is really kid-oriented, characters, and entertainment.

Its a big pancake- equal to 3 or 4 regular pancakes. But if you dont think it would be enough you could get a plate with regular round pancakes, scambled eggs and bacon or sausage. The cost is slightly more, but would offer you a larger meal. Or you could get a side of bacon or sausage to go with the Mickey 'cake.

I was going to ask the same thing because I didn't think the pancake looked very big.

I was also going to ask about the Mickey waffles. They look tiny!

Here's a picture for reference about the Mickey pancakes -

The one thing I did notice was that the Mickey pancakes seemed a little "harder" than the regular 3 stack (that my bf ordered). The 3 stack was yummier, for some reason.

I remember the Mickey pancakes being about $ 5.50.

For an adult, I don't know if the Mickey Mouse pancake is enough food to fill you up, but for my boys it's perfect.. The price is good too :) My favorite is the Mark Twain..... The cinnamon roll is yummy and big enough to share!

Definitely Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast, especially if you get there right at 7:00 a.m.! We practically had all the characters to ourselves and had tons of interaction! We had Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Baloo and the Mad Hatter last month and we loved every minute! Not to mention, the food was hot, fresh and delicious! I ate way too much that day and was glad to be walking it all off in the parks! :teeth:
