Favorite Disney Senses!

Smell ---- The Bakery goods on Main Street

Sight --- The Purple Welcome Sign and Wishes and Seeing a Favorite Character in an unexpected place

Sound --- Please stand clear of the doors.... por favor mantenganse, etc, ..... the music at Wilderness Lodge

Taste --- Ice cream at Beaches and Cream, Huge magic cookie bars at Roaring Forks, School Bread in Norway, Soft Serve at Mrs. Potts (I think that's it)

Touch ---- my son's hand in mind, various textures at the gift shops, like the REALLY soft bedtime Pooh in the Thotful Shop.

My 7 year old Jacey wants to add her favorite things, so here goes:

Smell- Ghirardelli's Waffle Cones at DTD. :daisy:

Sight- Wishes and Mickeys Philharmagic ::MickeyMo

Sound- At DTD the bands that play on the stage. :rockband:

Taste- Funnel cake with Grandma :drinking1

Touch- when you tocuh the characters costumes. :grouphug:

Now dads turn:

Smell- The water at Disney. I can smell the difference from the Midwest water.

Sight- I like Wishes like Jacey said, but I know I am at WDW when I see the purple signs telling you that you are at WDW.

Sound- the train whistle blowing.

Taste- Ghirardellis Ice Cream, or Mickey Head Ice Cream, or Ham and Cheese at Harbor House, or...

Touch- Holding my daughters' hands as we go throughout the parks.

Sight - The "Mickey Head" on I-4 as we exit from Tampa, or, The hidden Mickey in the Butterfly wing as you enter Rafiki's Planet Watch
Smell - The small of Apple Pie after "Be Our Guest" in Philarmagic
(worst) - Figment as a Skunk!
Sound - The Jeopardy beeper sound that always signals a joke in Ellen's Energy Adventure
Taste - Ghirardelli's Kid's Sundae
Touch - A Bubble from Miss Piggy's solo ("Eyes Shining Right Above You"?) in Muppet Vision 3-D!
 
Smell - The Yacht Club

Sight- Wishes

Sound - Trumpet entrance to Spectromagic (I play the trumpet)

Taste - Mickey Bar Icecream on a hot day at AK.

Touch - We're touched by everything at WDW
 

Smell - Main Steet Bakery. Makes me know how Cookie Monster feels.

Taste - Frozen lemonade.

Sight - Night view of the castle from top of drop on Splash Mountain.

Sound - The howling from Haunted Mansion while on Tom Sawyer's Island. Oh the anticipation!

Touch - A hard bus seat at the end of a VERY long day and then an hour wait for a bus. So glad NOT to be touching the cold steel of a hand bar while my tired legs keep balance.
 
Sight: Early morning FrontierLand. With no crowds you are enveloped into the wonderful magic of disney themeing of the wild west.

Sound: The whistle from the Mark Twain.

Smell: The unusual smell of the water. It smells that way at Disneyland too.

Taste: A Margarita at Epcot

Touch: Playing in the Snow at the Ice Cave in Epcot.
 
smell: the lettuce-y smell around the epcot fountain
taste: Ghirardelli chocolate covered banana
sight: tie : looking around World Showcase from the promenade; MGM from the top of ToT
sound: "Now approaching Mickey's Star Traders" (TTA)
(least favorite is the spiel at Primeval Whirl--"Baaa-Bye")
touch: door beads in RNR queue. I think everyone touches them when they walk past.

I have something to add to my tastes... Watermelon soda from Ice station cool in Epcot! I cant believe i forgot about that....
 
sight-Castle,ToT and Spaceship Earth
sound- Illuminations music and ToD music afterward
smell-musty smell in all rides
taste- cheese soup in Canada
touch-holding my kids' hands while experiencing all of the above
 
sight- the hot british guys that are there every year :love:

smell- the candy and baked good stores... mmm....

taste- Quesidillas at San Angel Inn... yummy...

touch- the stuffed animals in all the stores!

sound- *please stand clear of the door* on the monerail and the MGM music
 
Sight - Entrance gates to MK - I still get all little girl giddy.

Smell - Wilderness Lodge Lobby - Ahhhhhh

Taste- Bass Ales at the Rose and Crown. Only 37 days and I'll be hoisting a few of those.

Touch - Holding my children's hands as we walk down Main St. Guess what???? My daughters are 30, 24, and 21. It's still very special.

Sound - The howling wolves from the Haunted Mansion.

Sight - My Castle!! (did I mention it was mine??)
Sound - Monorail spiel - or Spectromagic
Taste - Dole Whip!!!
Touch - Holding Mickey's hand when you get a picture with him!!

Sight: Seeing the entrance gates and the purple signs! We're HOME!!

Sound: Love the TTA speal the whole way through and the song in Splash Mountain (we can't help but sing along!)

Taste: Has to be a melting Mickey Ice Cream Bar!

Smell: Main Street Bake Shop Yummm!

Touch: The blacktop under your feet in all the parks.

Smell: Rome Burning and Boardwalk INN Lobby
Taste: Oversized chocolate chip cookies at Ghiardelli's
Sound: Illuminations Music
Touch: Key to the World Card in my hand

its great to see everyones responses. these senses are what brings back the best memories for me. i think its things like these that stir up the magic in all of us. :)
 
Sight: palm trees, hibiscus flowers, entrance sign to WDW
Smell: Y&BC, AKL lobbies, popcorn at MK, the smell of the water at WDW
Taste: cinnamon rolls, dole whips, and ice station cool soft drinks :drinking1
Sound: all of the background music at the parks and resorts :goodvibes
Touch: my DH hand as we enjoy the world! :lovestruc
 
sight: Epcot at night where the "big ball," the sparkly sidewalks, and the fountain are all in view AND also, the purple entrance to WDW!!!!

smell: the musty water smell in all of the indoor boat rides (I thought that I was really wierd for liking this......but obviously I'm in good company)

taste: everything!!!!!!! I honestly haven't tasted anything that I didn't really like at DW (other then the Beverly)

sound: "Please stand clear of the doors....Por favor etc." (I also thought that I was really wierd for appreciating this so much.....but, I guess not)

touch: the tingly feeling of adrenaline running through my body from experiencing the magic of Disney..............and also the bright warm sun on me in the middle of winter
 
Sight: The Castle during Wishes! from the beach of the Poly. :earseek:

Smell: Disney at Christmas. Everything smells like apricot and clove. I used to love the smell in Horizons. You know, the oranges. :cloud9:

Taste: Dole Whip. :tongue:

Sound: Riding the Rock n' Rollercoaster. :rockband:

Touch: Holding Rob's hand as we stroll down Main Street, USA. :earsboy: :earsgirl:
