Aww, you guys have me crying this morning, so many sweet stories.
I remember being in DHS, DS was about 7, and we heard footsteps coming up behind us. It was Pinocchio, he stopped took DS by the hand and they skipped off together. The character helper told me they were going to the meeting spot and DS was first in line. It was just awesome, he got to spend a lot of time with Pinocchio and Gepetto.
We had a family gathering at Ohanas to celebrate birthdays of all of the kids--we have a lot of November babies in our family. We were seated by the window with great view of the castle. The wait staff had the most perfect timing. They brought out the cupcakes, lit the candles, and just as the kids blew them out, the lights dimmed and Wishes started. It was pure magic
My favorite though has to be when it was just me and DS, he was about 8. We were in DTD having ice cream and he told me that some of the kids at school told him Mickey wasn't real and he asked me if that was true. I asked him what he thought and he told me that he knew the truth, but when you are in Disney World the magic makes Mickey real and it doesn't matter how old you are. DS is now 19, 6'1, in college and looks like he is just way "too cool" for Disney. Guess who insists on eating at Chef Mickey's the first night of our trip so he can hug Mickey.
