DW and I are going in December. :thumbsup2

however we probably can only afford to do one character meal and one "signature" type table service meal while in the world. :confused3

So if you can do on character meal and one nice dinner, which one would it be?

btw, we're leaning towards the crystal palace for the character meal b/c we're big pooh and eeyore fans.

Crystal Palace would be my choice for the character meal as well. For a nice meal, it depends on what type of food you like. Our personal favorites are Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge) and California Grill (Contemporary), however we are probably trying Victoria & Albert's (Grand Floridian... much more expensive) and Jiko (AKL) this trip. ~Ev

I agree-Crystal Palace and California Grill! For Cali. Grill-try to get an ADR for about 1 hour before the fireworks-ask for a window seat-by dessert, you'll be enjoying fireworks with a full tummy!

Jiko for the nice dinner...without hesitation! Way romantic, incredible wines, hidden mickeys in the restaurant, and by far one of the most tastiest, memorable meals I've ever had. The lodge itself and the store inside are definitely worth visiting, as well.

The Food Channel did a special on this restaurant (they focused on the filet over mac & cheese with African red wine sauce), which was why DH and I decided to go. We were so impressed the first time we went, we rearranged our ADRs so we could eat there again two days later...and got the same entree!

Yes, I vote for Jiko!

As a follow up, which meal would you eat at Crystal Palace? (we have several days to play at MK so we can do both dinner there and at somewhere else like Calif. Grill)

What time would fireworks be in december, or when would I be able to find that out?

is the AKL close to the AK, i.e. if we're not planning on having a car, would it be easy to get there from the pop century on disney transportation?

I would go for CP breakfast and maybe California Grill for your TS dinner. We love both!

I would do the CP for breakfast on a non-early entry MK day. I would also do the CG during Wishes.

Where do they publish the times for Wishes? do they only go out 6 months?

I agree about Crystal Palace. I don't think we've been to a better character meal. We just went to Le Celier this past weekend though, and it was terrific. Everything from the pretzel bread to the salad to the melt-in-your-mouth steaks were heavenly. I love the California Grill too, but Le Celier is tough to beat if you like steak!

We loved Cali.Grill for our anniversary dinner last year. (See how happy we look in my siggy pic?? :goodvibes )

Have a great trip!

I would say Breakfast ....try to get the earliest ADR time available. It's great to be able to enter the MK before it opens and walk down Main Street all by yourselves.

Thanks for all the advice. now I just have to be patient and wait: Only 2,277 hours until I can make ADR's for my trip.
