Just wanted to add - from the Magic -
our dining mates Ed and Karen!

We met them over the DIS Board (as we did Paul and Kaye) and I have to say that my son STILL talks more about Ed than he did Mickey Mouse.

How I ever could have forgotten them - must be my advancing years - hahahaha! Karen, along with being a fantastic conversationalist, is also a Cast Member!!

No, I don't remember Ian being there, sorry! One person I did forget to mention on the Wonder was Lyall from South Africa. What a great guy! The trips were awesome! I just booked our free 7 day cruise today for Nov 29 ( I got on Who wants to be a Mouseketeer and won the grand prize!). We'll do back to back 7day cruises on Nov 29 and Dec 6. I can hardly wait to get back on board!!!!!!

bearfan.....I have seen pics of the crew quarters and the beds do look smaller than normal....what a pain that must be...to have your feet hang off all the time!!! Thanks for the info!!!

Did any CM make MAGIC for you on the recent New Year's cruises?

Ok.....aside from the cruise staff which are my favorites without saying.....another wonderful CM from the 1/4 Magic was Beckie, our assistant server from Canada. She was just awesome!!! My DS18 fell in love with her (only kidding), but he he had so much fun with her at dinner....he even play proposed to her by borrowing his sister's ring and placing it in glass of water and then telling Beckie there was something in his water....then he asked her to marry him!!! Beckie was cracking up calling him quite the charmer....which he is!!!!

We also had a great time speaking with Andrew from Palos who is married to Monica from Mickey Mates, also from Treasure Ketch are Clare and Winston...both wonderful!!!

Sean from the cruise staff is on vacation, so no nerd at 50's, Ian is back and full of energy. Him and John together are just too much. Robin is still a hoot as Bingo King. Luigi, April, Andrea and SheShe were new to us, but were very friendly and outgoing as well. Robin and April were very cute together...constantly bantering back and forth!!! We got to talk to alot of the crew while we were at Carlos and Charlies...they really had a good time and needed a night off!!!

I would have to say, without a doubt, our fav crew member on the 01/04 cruise was...drumroll please....Iso from Croatia, server in the dining room. Followed closely by Rudy from S. Africa, his asst. Alain was funny to, (head server) but you never really get to talk to them much do you? alain was the most visible head server we have had yet, though, and in all fairness, he did make an effort to see us every night.
I hope the Disney management DOES read this, because I have a thing or two to say about these 2 servers. I come from a city known for top restaurants and service, like NYC, and I can say that I have never had the level of professionalism, and service that I had from these two servers last week. Iso was always there, yet never hovering, he seems to be a stickler for perfection. If something was out of place, it was fixed before you noticed. Rudy was always there to refill, or ask if there was anything else needed. My 77 year old Mother was in heaven....and believe me, she is NOT an easy sell! She talked about them the whole way home. We did go up to Palo, PLEASE DON"T FLAME ME GUYS, and hated it. The food was average, however, to give them credit, the presentation was excellent. The service was abominably annoying, and artificial. By the end of the dinner, if I had heard how "lovely" and "super" our choices were, I was going to scream. I could have asked for pig swill, and I would have been assured that I had chosen the most excellent thing on the menu. All this made us realize how lucky we were to have met our Iso...and Rudy of course. My daughter (7) was treated to an impromptu tea after lunch, where she was taught the most amazing magic trick, which she showed everyone that night at our table. My dd has been through alot emotionally this christmas, and although usually excrutiatingly shy, came right out of her shell by the 3rd or 4th day, and was insisting we be served by one of them at lunch! For this, I thank you guys, you made it the best cruise, bar none. DCL, consider yourself lucky to have people like this in your employ, for it is they that bring us back time, and time again!

I believe he is....he is taking another vacation in the upcoming months, but I think he said we was going to do another contract after that.

Mauritzio ( Australia ) who works in Polo's is the absolute best. He spoiled us on our last cruise , and we are looking forward to seeing him again in a few months.

Alain is a head server now? When we were there in November, he was the manager(I guess that is what you'd call him) of Palo.
