We just came back from the 11/2 Magic.

Our servers Aron and Teddy were the greatest! (We were at Table 18). They went out of their way for all three of my kids as well as mother who as gluten allergies. They really made the week special.

Emmanuel in Mickey's Mates was wonderful. He ran the register in the store, as well as the pin cart in the evening. Every night, he would remember my daughter and my name, and point out the rare pins he had! That was REALLY over and above for us.

I MISS IT, I WANNA GO BACK....... NOW!!!!!:(

Hey everyone....who's making magic this week? I need a Magic boost since I have so long to wait. Keep us all updated!!!

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Thanks!!

On my last cruise it was Robin and Amy on the magic. They were great!:p

On past cruises

Willy, Greg, Sasha, Ian, Salvatore, Marco, among all the others.

Alexsandra(sp?) was our server on the 11/9 Magic. She was wonderful. She even got my picky eater to try new foods. She cut my meat when my ds was sleeping in my arms. And brought us samples of serveral meals when we asked her opinion of something. She truly made our trip.

Who's making your magic now?

I thought John was very entertaining. They all have to be up all the time and everywhere at the same time. We saw John quite a few times during our Sept. cruise. Everytime we passed him he would say Hi, often starting a conversation. I think they are told to act a certain way depending on the part they are playing. Sean did bingo on our Cruise and he told the same corny jokes.
I give all those guys a lot of credit. I think people need to lighten up and enjoy themselves, because it is the Disney Cruise Line...

mausmu...exactly...that's what I didn't understand about the other post...he was supposed to act a certain way during the Walk the Plank show. That's the great thing about all the cruise staff CM's...they get into character so easily!!!

The theme nights are a hoot, especially 50's... John as the greaser, Sean as the nerd...Robin.....just too funny the way they all interact. We are really looking forward to seeing all the cruise staff again when we sail in January. How can you not laugh at this guy!!! He's the perfect nerd!!!

Hey MJ, thanks for the tip about the comments about John. To set the record straight....I also caught some of the "Walk the Plank" program and I think it's alittle weak in general compared to the other programming on the ship. It was at the end of the week when I sailed and it was really corny. John did host that time.

When my husband and I first met John, he was alittle aloof but alot of fun during the pool games. I found him to be a professional host in a variety of settings.

He hosted the Match Your Mate program and quite frankly he did an excellent job. He drew out the contestants and if anything was a bit of a gentleman on the more shocking questions. I laughed my head off throughout the program. It is definitely not to be missed!

Throughout the 50s, 70s, 80s, and deck party he was really excellent. After seeing him and the other staff we realized that he was alot of fun and definitely made our trip better. By the end of the week, he would definitely say "Hi" to us and was rather nice. He may be more friendly to people who he runs into alot. He even made a point of saying goodbye to us and complimenting us on being "nice people to cruise with!"

Overall, all the entertainment cast was friendly. But there were times when they weren't perfect. However, YOU HAVE TO GIVE PEOPLE THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, because they are in the spotlight in an informal setting and everyone is looking at them while we are all anonymous.

The main difference between this cruise and the first one we attended on Disney was the entertainment staff and the entertainment for adults. It has greatly improved. I'm getting alot of heat from my family to try other cruises, but I don't think other cruises would provide the value for the buck that this one did in regards to entertainment in an intimate setting (Rockin' Bar D).

Sorry this is so lengthy but I found the crew staff (especially John) to be "one of a kind" outstanding and Disney is very fortunate to have this caliber of employees on their ships!

If you are sailing with John and the others, YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS!!!

Who made magic for YOU this week?

omg the best servers ever is our two servers we had Timo(Netherlands)
and Gabar(Hungry) they were the best. When my parents went to palos for the night, my brother and I went to dinner alone and that night we were there only table so they were watieng for us at the door. Diner was fantastic with they the whole night they did magic tricks at dinner it was so much fun. Timo even made me mickey ears out of napkins.:jester: :smooth:

Who made Christmas MAGIC for you?

On the Dec 1 Wonder cruise
Tisa was just a hoot! She truly is the Bingo Goddess on board. And Viv from France, too. We was a bit reserved at first but once he got going he cracked me up, especially during So You Think You Know Your 80's Music. He kept on saying "No...I don't know that one either, I guess it wasn't a hit in France!" Our stateroom host Gregory was very attentive and caring, too.

On the Dec 7 Magic cruise
Robin is still there and will be going on break in January, just in time for his birthday. Sean moved to excursions but was still all over the ship. Jessica from Chile is still there but we never ran into her. We just loved Chris in guest services, great sense of humor and of course the head man there, Ray, formally from cruise staff. But the best one on the ship, in our opinion, was our server, Liam from Jamaica. We had him last year and requested him again. He is just phenomenal. He's personable but the most efficient and intuitive server we've seen. And magic tricks, too! We knew we'd be in good hands. His new asst server Gregory from Costa Rica is very good as well. Nick our head server was everywhere. We saw him morning noon and night around the ship. He impressed us by taking our suggestions down in his PDA and not just nodding to appease us. Last year we saw our head server ONCE the whole cruise. Nick is new on board and I hope his level of service stays consistant. Our stateroom host, Javier was a wizard with the towel animals. His lobster is a work of art!

bearfan.....did John from Wales happen to be onboard from the cruise staff? We have sailed a few times when he was onboard and was wondering if he would be there next week. He is the tall one! Sorry to hear that Sean moved off of the cruise staff team....we always enjoyed him as well!!!

On the Magic -

Rico and Yoko at guest services; Servers/assistant servers: Roger (Brazil) and Erwin (St. Vincent) were tops. They even remembered us and made us promise to ask for them next cruise - we will!!
Andrea (Hungary) who is married to Zoran (Hungary) was our server and delightful.
And the Dueling Piano talents: Fabio and Tamara (who are no longer there).

Dining Mates: Shelby, Alex and John

On the Wonder -
Vista Spa - Chantelle (S.Africa), Lauren (Scotland) and a wonderful girl from New Zealand (I'm sorry I forgot her name!)

Servers: Atilla (Hungary) and Tobias (The Netherlands) were interesting and entertaining to all.

Dining Mates: Paul and Kaye

Hard to pick a favorite when there are so many cruises and so many deserving cast members!

Yes, John was there. Did you know that he's actually taller than his bed is long?!? Talk about annoying!
