I've read that DermaBlend is the best, but it's expensive (to me anyway).

Are there any other good concealers you can recommend that are cheaper?

I have a reddish-(but-slowly-fading) scar I try to cover, plus misc. things.

TIA.

I agree with the Hard Candy!

So with these great recommendations, I went to Walmart tonight, and they don't carry it!? I was surprised because it's in a suburban store of a fairly big city.

Amazon does have it though, or will it be too hard to determine the best color?

That is strange. Try looking at Wal-Mart.com? I'm going to be sad if they don't carry it any longer

I also use the Hard Candy. I have the light and medium. I actually mix the two and get a good coverage that way.

My metro area has approximately 35+ stores but of the first 10 I called, only two had it. One store is only 10 miles away so I'll definitely go and get it!

IT Cosmetics CC Cream. From QVC. Go to QVC.com and look at the make-up. A lot of choices. Usually their are videos of the presentation when it was on air which I find helpful. Also, they are reviews. Another good brand...Tarte...also on QVC.
P.S. The IT Cosmetic CC Cream has SPF in it (physical one too), not sure about the Tarte.

I've had great luck with Almay products. I haven't personally used their concealer, but their "mousse" foundation held up under stage lights in a 90 degree theater in July, and provided ample coverage. I would suspect their concealer would be good. If you purchase at Rite Aid you can return it if it doesn't work for you.

This is what I use too! Also in the neutralizer shade, since my skin has lots of pink undertones. A stick last a long time...probably a year. It is not heavy duty concealer like dermablend. It is light and creamy. It works decently under eyes, and also on blemishes (without causing more or irritating them), and also great on pink marks left behind after blemishes are gone.

I second the Hard Candy Glamaflauge... the best I have ever tried! I think it is around $6.00

Any luck, op?

Yes! I bought the glamoflage and it works well! The problem is removing it at night! (well my first night was last night) It has SO much coverage that it didn't want to come off!!
