Hello crafty ladies!!

I am in the mood to be nosey :)

I would like to know:

Who are your favorite scrapbooking companies?

Solid paper?

Pattern paper?

And what do you think is a good price for those things?

I am super cheap so I dont think that some pattern paper- even Disney should be almost $2 a sheet. But I do pay $0.55 a sheet for Bazzill because its always awesome.

Your thoughts?

Patterned Paper:
Right now I am loving everything Echo Park but American Crafts, Studio Calico and My Minds Eye are some other favorites. Paper would have to be pretty spectacular for me to pay $2 per sheet. I guess I am good with $1 per sheet of patterned paper. I just ordered some kits so the pp price is less than $1 per page. I'll sometimes get those paper packs at Michaels or AC Moores - the per piece price is low even without using all of it.

Cardstock:
About 85% of my cardstock is Bazzill and the rest is American Crafts textured cardstock which is pretty similar to bazzill. I usually pay $0.75 per sheet of bazzill since I buy them at crops although I order 25 packs of white or black where ever I find the cheapest price.

My lss has some patterned paper for $1.79 a sheet. its nuts.
I'm going to have to check out american crafts cardstock.
Thanks for your input. :)

Another Echo Park lover!!! I like a lot of Bo Bunny and DCWV paper, but some I don't like at all. Solids, I am not picky about brands as much. I do like Bazzil, but not for fine cuts on the cricuts. I also love doodle bug embellishments. If it is cute paper though, I buy it no matter what the brand if I like the price. I never pay full price for anything scrapbooking related. I wait for it to be on sale, use a coupon, or buy it on amazon/ebay.

I must check out Echo Park too :) I try not too, but the paper at j's is awfully thin and the bazzill is so nice and never on sale at the LSS

Solid - Bazzill - although i'm getting away from it because American crafts cuts better on the cricut.

Patterned - I "collect" graphic 45. Use Basic Grey - some packs over and over and over. Travel themed papers from anyone. My GO TO patterned paper though is Creative Memories Rugged and Reminisce patterns - they're browns and greens and good for pretty much everything.

Price? I dunno - if I want it, I buy it, and it is what it is.

Who are your favorite scrapbooking companies?
We R Memory Keepers for albums and page protectors, but I am doing a Project Life for this year, so I am using some Becky Higgins' page protectors too, and they seem to be sturdy enough (not as thick as WRMK, but OK)
I am REALLY enjoying Project Life!

Solid paper?
Mainly Bazzil, but whatever, not too picky.

Pattern paper?
Simple Stories for their journalling cards! Echo Park has some great lines too!

And what do you think is a good price for those things?
I usually buy my WRMK albums and Page protectors from Joann's online with a code. I don't think I would ever pay $2/page for a piece of paper.

I am not picky about name brands. I try to buy most of my paper on sale. I love scrapbook.com for prints but sometimes the color is off.(or maybe I am getting old)

I love Bazzil and try to stock up on the main colors when I can find it on sale. I also use alot of CM paper, just stocked up on colors as it was on sale.

$2 a sheet is expensive, I try to keep it under $1 per sheet.

I'm not too picky either but I will say I don't like JoAnn's solid color paper packs - they always seem to leave a film/lint on my cricut mats

I like Hobby Lobbies paper packs - The paper Studios
also like DWVC paper

I would like to know:

Who are your favorite scrapbooking companies? I have just started using Echo Park (in fact I won a collection the other day) and I like the feel and look of their paper. I love SEI and belong to their club so I have tons of their paper. I think that Webster's pages pieces are amazing- especially their newest embellishments and trims. I also have lots of DCWV. I just started using Avocado Arts stamps and I have to say they are the best stamps I have ever used.

Solid paper? I use Bazzil, DCWV, and I like the recollections shimmer paper packs as well

Pattern paper? SEI, I choose it more based on the look than the company

And what do you think is a good price for those things? I generally only buy it on sale- for the DCWV I wait until the cardstock stacks are 50% off, I wait until Bazzil is on sale for no more than 40 cents a sheet; patterned paper I tend to buy on sale as well normally at an expo or someplace like that I won't pay more than75 cents for a sheet of paper unless it is for a very specific project and very special.

I normally do more work with embellishments and worry less about the paper on the pages I do- probably why I won't pay that much for it. I couldn't believe how many people were just pulling tons of paper at 90 cents a sheet during the expo I went to a few weeks ago.

Thank you ladies for your input.

Haha I was starting to think that I was crazy cheap but I guess I'm not. :)

I have never seen Bazzill under $0.59 a sheet here. Thats what it is at M's and the LSS i think is $0.79

Solid cardstock - If I could afford it, I would use the Creative Memories cardstock, but I can't. I like smooth cardstock, so I have been buying the Bazzill smooths at Ms whenever there is a sale. The downside of that is that the good colors are always out by the time I get there. I also by their Recollections black and white cardstock and like it. Kraft cardstock, another staple of mine, I buy at As in a really cheap pack, I think something like 6.99 for 25 sheets.

Lately, I have been loving Simple Stories. I don't use the divided page protectors, but do scrap in a very linear manner, and I have purchased 4 collection packs in the last 6 months, most recently Summer Fresh. I also have been using a lot of Echo Park paper, especially since my kit club has been using it in my kits the last few months.

I love Creative Memories power palettes, and do purchase them from time to time, but again, they are so expensive and since I am no longer a CMC, I rarely can afford them. About the only CM product I still purchase are the side loading pages and albums, love them, but have converting to the We R Memory Keepers D ring albums for larger projects. I buy those when I have a coupon for As or credit at the LSS.

For you Bazzill lovers --

Ohmycrafts.com is selling retired Bazzill colors for $.30 a sheet! They also have good deals on other paper. Last week, shipping was only $1.95. And they get a big :thumbsup2 on customer services.

Also, Die Cuts with a View now has a closeout website ---- dcwvdeals.com. They have some good stuff.

Thanks for the heads up re: American Crafts. I will have to check out their cardstock.

I am all about bargains!
