Just tried to book the ice cream social for begining of April and informed that Garden Grill is closed until JULY 7TH!!
Then I tried to get my 5yo son a breakfast spot with his "girlfriend" Cinderella in the castle which he has been DYING to get into and that too was booked :sad2:
Any ideas?
Last time we did the walk in character meal at MK at the Liberty Inn and were really impressed with the attention the characters gave him...but wanted some different characters this time (his favorite now is Mickey followed closely by his true love Cindy)

Did you try 1900 park fare dinner. It too has Cinderella. I don't think it books as fast. Also, keep trying for a spot at the castle. Some book more than 1 spot, and then cancel as their plans are more firm.

Good Luck.

To see Cinderella-- look at the MK has her around every once in a while-- try after the Cinderellabration (sp?). If he likes Mickey-- MGM Studios has a neat Mickey dressed up as a director sometimes (check the park info when you get in). Also, and this isn't free- but the character breakfast, dinner at Chef Mickey's a the contemporary is a great place for Mickey as well.

Oh man, Garden Grill's closed until July?!? :(
We love going there!

Our best character experience was in toontown. We queued for 30 mins and ended up with chip, Dale and minie. DD was eating a huge lolipop. Chip stole it and took a lick dd gave chase, eventually got it back, :cool1: then Dale spots DHs tattoo - 'darling wife' and starts shaking his paw then to annoy dh plants a kiss on my nose! didnt cost a dime but really memorable fun! PS minnie flirted terribly with DH and DS ::MinnieMo

Oh I forgot other best ch experience when we had breakfast with Cindy in the Castle. Snow white took a shine to ds -13 and planted a smacker on his cheek!! he tried his best to dodge her but she was to much a good shot. She was awesome and he was really lucky!!! :cutie: left red lips on his face all day - she must have used max factor stay put!!

Akershus in Norway has princess meals - not sure about price, and not sure which princess you might get.

We saw Sleeping Beauty in France at Epcot, and we were the only people talking to her. DS isn't big on princesses, but it would have been great if he was interested!

We actually never saw Cindy except in the MK parade.

That Garden Grill rehab is taking WAAAY longer than it was supposed to. Maybe they will be open when we go in October!

Good luck finding something your son will enjoy - there is a lot to choose from!

I have heard that Cinderella sometimes does appear at Akershus, though not often. Best bet is the Cinderella dinner at 1900 Park Faire.

Akershus turns over to princess meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner sometime in April - I want to say the 10th but am really not sure about the date.

We went to Donald's Breafastasaurous at AK and thought the price was really good (17.99 for adults, 9.99 for kids, under 3 free) and you could use the DDE card to get an additional 20% off. There was plenty of character interaction, they (Donald, Mickey, Goofy, Pluto) all came over to our table 2 times and would also walk up to us and tease the kids when we were going to the buffet. We'd definately do it again. We had an 8am PS on a day that the park opened at 9, which was perfect since we finished up just as the park was getting ready to open and we were already well in the park and got right on one of the first safaris.
