I must have bad Search Karma with the Boards lately - anyway I search I can't get anything about favorite character meals to come up! I've spent too much time on that already...I think my eyeballs are going to fall out of my head... :surfweb:

Can anyone either point me to a recent thread or chime in about their favorites and why? I need an ADR for a character meal (last minute, I know) but its been awhile and I'm at a loss. Previously have done CM, Park Faire, Akershus, CRT, Garden Grille. For this trip, Princesses are not are thing so Akershus and CRT are out. Other than that, we're not picky about characters or buffet vs. sit down...

Thanks! Jackie

CP dinner. This one is a lot of fun. CP is a buffet, so there is something here for everyone. The characters are Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and Eeyore.

Also a fun one is CM breakfast (also a buffet). The characters are Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald.

We ate at Crystal Palace and Garden Grill last month.

CP was chaotic and too busy. Long lines. Not all of the characters came around. Perhaps it would be better when free dining is not in place.

Garden Grill (11am when they opened) could not have been better for our family of 5. Delicious food, great service, the characters came by 3-4 times each, and so forth....just wonderful for us.

I just thought of another one- 1900 Park Fare dinner. It is at GF, and it is a buffet. The characters are Cinderella, Prince Charming, and the Tremaines. The 2 stepsisters are so funny! I loved them.

We like 'Ohana for breakfast, and since it looks like you are going before the end of the year, Liberty Tree Tavern dinner, because the characters will be gone in January.

We have only been to one character meal, dinner at the Crystal Palace, and we really enjoyed it. The salmon was excellent and the characters were extremely attentive despite the fact that we are two three year olds trapped in 30 year old bodies. ;)

I vote CP breakfast. If you can get an ADR before the park opens, you get to walk down a nearly empty Main Street to get to breakfast...once there, they have a omelets made-to-order station, plus lots of other yummy breakfast foods...I can't think of anything that WASN'T on the buffet! Beautiful building, some of the best service we had our entire trip too.

Pooh and friends are there...
