I'm heading down in a few days. Going solo, so it's pretty easy for me to get ADR's last minute and I'm thinking that I'd like to schedule a breakfast for my first park day.

When we go, our usual breakfast stops are Kona or Boma, but I'd like to try something new. So, what's your favorite breakfast spot and what do you get there?

Thanks!

For us our first park is MK so we usually eat at the Trails End Buffet at Ft. wilderness & just take the boat back & forth. Good food, plus it's nice & relaxing there.

Boma's is Awesome!!! 1900 is our favorite Character breakfast meal. I actually liked Ohana's breakfast......Rest of family didn't..LoL Go figure.

I see that Kona is a usual stop which is the restaurant I would have suggested for breakfast! I crave The Samoan and my husband the Tonga Toast. It's funny because I was thinking about where we eat breakfast and am having the most difficult time because apparently we don't go to many sit down breakfasts. On park days we will grab a jalapeno pretzel (so breakfasty I know...) to hold us until lunch and on every other day we're not at the parks we book Kona and then the rest are lunches scheduled between 12 and 1. The restaurants we have had breakfast at are Cape May and Ohana. We enjoyed both but I would pick Cape May food-wise over Ohana. I love Lilo and Stitch so character-wise I would pick Ohana. If I had my way we would go to 1900 Park Fare!

Kona and Boma have been favorites for me, too. New favorite is The Wave breakfast buffet. Many good choices. I really liked the sweet potato pancakes with honey-pecan butter and the cheese grits for something different to me.

A very easy one to get into as a walk up is The Wave located in the Contemporary... I tried it for the first time last June as a walk up and was impressed (hard to do with me). I ended up getting the breakfast buffet and have found it to be the best buffet in terms of quality that I've tried in Disney. I liked it so much we ended up going there again on our departure day for breakfast as well. Very quiet, excellent service and very good food. If a buffet is not your thing you can also order off a stand alone menu as well.

Kona is great but we also love Cape May Cafe over at the Beach Club! I wrote about our meal here, but if you'll be really hungry the first morning it's great. The food is absolutely amazing (between the mickey waffles and the cheesy chorizo scrambles eggs we were rolling out of there lol!) and the characters are awesome (minnie & friends in their beach finest).

That said if you're looking for cheap, easy, and delicious, we make a trip over to Gasparilla Grill at The Grand Floridian every trip whether we're staying there or not for breakfast! It's so peaceful there and the Mickey Waffles are perfect (can you see a trend here, I go where the Mickey Waffles go!).

Boma and Kona are amongst our faves too.

2 we really like a lot, The Wave and Trails End. Both have really good buffets. The Wave can be walked too after arriving at MK, Trails End, catch the boat at MK.

The Grand Floridian Cafe is a very nice restaurant, you may enjoy the food and atmosphere there.
We have had B,L & D and enjoyed all 3.

Boma and Cape May have been my favorite breakfast places. I have heard good things about the wave but have not tried it as of yet

This is somewhere I always forget about and have wanted to try. Thank you for the reminder! I think I'll make my ADR for breakfast there. :)

Thank you to everyone for the excellent suggestions!

Enjoy!
We have a lunch reservation here in April.
Its sentimental to us, we held our daughter's wedding rehearsal luncheon here 8 years ago.

Our favorite is at the Swan, at the Garden Grove. They have a breakfast buffet, plus you can order off the menu if you prefer. Great food and service. We got at least once every trip.

Our favorite breakfast is at Cape May Café! The buffet has lots of tasty options, & our service has always been excellent...not to mention the beach going characters!

Do they do gluten free Mickey waffles?

I love Kona and there Tonga Toast. Another of my favorite is the Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge.
